  1. I need to know where you live sometime before Christmas. I HAVE TO see this!!
  2. And bad Reksy. Actually I envy you. After 10 years of not smoking, I still get the urge to have one, but continue to resist.
  3. Went to Mom's house (she's 87) and planted hostas and bleeding hearts in one of her flower beds, then mulched the others. Most of the rest of the day I lazed around home watching a Monty Python marathon on BBC America. Grilled a ribeye for me and a green chili marinated chicken breast for the wife for dinner. We had corn on the cob as well. And then I watched an MST3K episode.
  4. So now get back to your original thread and give us some impressions!! Please?
  5. Happy Birthday!!
  6. Soon: Grilled butterfly pork chops with a balsamic/roasted garlic vinagrette and a baked potato.
  7. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 1.
  8. Yeah, gotta agree. I had Lacewood Darth's. Kept 'em for about 2 months. Loved looking at 'em. Hardly ever listened to 'em. Sold 'em.
  9. Be Bop Deluxe - Modern Music: Modern Music/Dancing in the Moonlight/Honeymoon on Mars/Lost in the Neon World/Dance of the Uncle Sam Humanoids/Modern Music (reprise) And yes, it was shorter than an album side.
  10. Mystery Science Theater 3000 Episode #507 - "I Accuse My Parents"
  11. Hitachi 12" compound miter saw.
  12. Me either, but I keep watching. Catherine Tate as the companion just really grates on me.
  13. Howdy Dom. Welcome to the funhouse! Mike
  14. Yep, I got a free 1 year subscription for joining Salon.com, thinking what the hell I probably wouldn't like it. But when that was about to expire I renewed for 2 years because it really has been a worthwhile read.
  15. A salad made with Romaine hearts, roasted red peppers, red onion and artichoke hearts. Dressed with a light white wine vinegar & olive oil and sprinkled liberally with freshly grated parmesan. Yum.
  16. Can you deal with fur everywhere and horked up hairballs and smelly litter and speakers treated as scratching posts? All are possible. And don't get me wrong - we have 3 cats and I love them all. Just trying to give you reality.
  17. Tommy is in front, looking stoic as any cat lover will recognize. Willy is the upside down guy, being the goof. They are brothers, adopted as ferals from the local Humane Society right before they were due to be put to sleep. They are still a bit skittish, but good typical kittehs.
  18. Awesome pic. Looks like they are good buds.
  19. They can be. We've become a magnet for the harder cases for some reason, so our latest, Marco, has been quite the handful. We've had a total of five so far though, and most have been good after some work. The thing to keep in mind is that racers only know kennel life, so when you adopt one at 1.5 - 3 years old, they will be like big dumb puppies in your house. They usually aren't house broken, don't know about things like stairs or glass patio doors etc. So it can take some work. But once integrated into the home, they are calm, loving and devoted dogs.
  20. An older picture but my all time favorite. Cleo is the silver cat in front, Gypsy is the brindle greyhound on the sofa. Tommy & Willy are the cats (kittens at that time) snuggled up to her butt. The handsome boy on the floor is Twist. Unfortunately he's no longer with us. Bone cancer took him earlier than we would have liked. Not pictured is Marco, another brindle greyhound, and Basil, the ball python.
