  1. Have you tried it on both battery power and plugged into AC Adapter? Although, AC Adapter would probably only introduce a ground loop buzz. -Ed
  2. Getting a quote from a manufacturer first as a baseline to see how feasible it is to make at a reasonable cost. Don't want to get you all excited about something that will never be built.
  3. Heheh, if it were with my overkill idea, it would be over $50 just to make it, with zero mark up. Of course it would be Carbon Fiber and Titanium. I think Stainless steel or even Aluminum will suffice.
  4. Yes, I'm working on integrating a way to be able to plug in the 3.5mm plug and the cleaning tool in the top half of the case. The case would be much thicker than the Lotus Lighter pictured. Rough dimensions initially are 100x50x35mm Going over the cost to produce these. If it's OK, I'll ask Jerry if i can post pics of the initial product renders here. Don't want to get everyone excited about something that can't be made. If we can get enough people to tell Jerry that they'd be willing to pay extra for a high quality case, the more likely it will be made. -Ed
  5. Working on a portable carry case for Jerry. Problem is, I think it's going to cost too much to make over the cost of the existing carbon fiber case. So question is, would you all be willing to purchase a high end portable carbon fiber carry case (think high end cigarette lighter) separately? Here's a pic of a Lotus Lighter. Or perhaps take your pick. Free Big carry case (like the one already existing) or Free Portable Carry case. You could then buy the other one separately if you'd like. Carbon Fiber is not cheap to have made. Jerry is captain overkill, doing what other companies shy away from due to profit margain bean counting. But even Jerry needs to make money at the end of the day. Honestly, IMO, while I like the existing case, it's not very useful to me. I would prefer to have a perfect portable pocket carry case, even if it meant I didn't get a big carry case with my name on it. -Ed
  6. Kind of looks like a urine sample to me. Maybe if they were styled like beer mug a bit.
  7. Yeah, the JH13 is going to put one of my top headphones up for sale. I'm keeping the one that smells nicer. For now. -Ed
  8. I've officially destroyed my toy budget this week month year.
  9. Looks like it's almost ready for release. Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio - View Single Post - Updated: HifiMAN HM-801 Portable Music Player Preorder If you wanted to get a preorder price in, now would be the time.
  10. One of the best audiologists to have impressions done in Beverly Hills cost me $50.
  11. OK, then it's OK to be Type A Bitchy rather than Type C Cunty™
  12. For first time custom IEM users with fit issues, make sure you are seating them fully and correctly. Give them a few days of long time wearing to get used to them and then see if the fit issues are still there. And there is no need to go "Type A Bitchy" at JH Audio. Asking nicely (but insistantly) will get the same result without being an asshole.
  13. Jerry's email had been getting full lately. Man he's crazy busy. Email him again, or better yet, give JH Audio a call on the phone.
  14. Contrary to popular belief, black cats are actually good luck.
  15. I wish they still made the Klipsch Promedia DD-5.1. It's nearly the same size as the Realiser.
  16. Anyone near Princeton, NJ willing to pick this one up and ship it to me? AudiogoN ForSale: Emotiva LMC-1 I wish there was an even smaller mini Pre Pro that existed.
  17. Picked up my Smyth SVS Realiser today. It's awesome! But my Receiver's left surround Pre Out is now completely dead as well. CRAP!!!!! I guess getting a Pre-Pro is top priority now. Any guess as to how long until the Emotiva UMC-1 is out?
  18. For those who live in Los Angeles or can make a trip to LA (Beverly Hills) I highly recommend Frances Miranda Rockstarears.com -- Molded to your Music I got my impressions done with Frances, and Jerry often uses her for his celebrity clients, sometimes even flying her to them to get the impressions done on site. She is very knowledgable and also has universal fit versions of nearly all the different Custom IEMs. (even the UE11, and will most likely have the JH13 soon as well). It's a rare opportunity to "try before you buy comparison shop" with customs. -Ed
  19. Mine just arrived. Listening to them right now. Will take pics later on when I manage to remove them from my ears. Heheh. The fit is much more comfortable than my ES3X.
