Keep in mind that they are quite heavy by themselves, if that's important to you. That's the price (other than $$$)to pay for leather. It's durable and pretty, but certainly not lightweight.

I'm looking for another bag. The main plastic buckle on the strap of my Maxpedition Lunada sling bag got cracked. I'd really like something tougher like the Red Oxx bags, but I'm not a fan of backpacks or regular messenger/shoulder bags. I like the Maxped Lunada in that's kind of a hybrid of the two, kind of like a one armed backpack you can swing forward for quick easy access. Also, the Lunada is getting too small for what I need to carry. I do like the modularity of being able to swap and add different smaller packs onto it. I guess I could go for something larger, but I'd probably be getting into backpack territory.

Thanks. The Galil has the right mix of fire rate speed and accuracy. But it's recoil does pull to the right, but it's consistent, so you can compensate for it. Otherwise, like most automatic guns in the game, you have to fire in bursts for long range. My in game sensitivity is at 10 (Insane).

Here's another one 34-5 on WMD map. Click through or the Youtube link. Listen with headphones, I recorded the sound directly from my Victor SU-DH1 processor (poor man's Smyth Realiser). -Ed

I'm going to get Aaron to get an XBox one way or the other. Here's a short clip of a nice kill streak with the G11 before they gimped it with a patch.

One thing I really hate about Black Ops is that it's set up even more to reward camping compared to Modern Warfare 2. Although there is less incentive to uber-camp, as the killstreaks top out at 11, rather than 25 for a nuke. Ironically, the first nuke I got in MW2 was with running and gunning on the Carnival map of all maps. Go figure. My preferred style of play is as a ninja class. Ghost Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, and Marathon Pro, with a suppressed Galil. I'm all about flanking the opposition.

I'm normally a run and gun kind of player, but after repeatedly playing Firing Range map so much and losing to the biggest camping whores (lying down in the garage, hallways, etc.) I decided to show them what REAL camping is about. Here's a video of a match from last night where I went 37-0. Attack Dogs + Chopper Gunner = Massacre. Follow through click to the Youtube link for the 720P version. -Ed

Also tried it with the original HeadAmp Pico with DAC. On high gain with volume pot at 2 o'clock is about as loud as I can stand listening to. Quite a bit of volume overhead left over. The Pico Amp is a great match with the HE-6 for a portable amp.

Depends on which iPod. It should actually work OK with most of them. The HE-6P Works suprisingly well with portable audio players. It can be a little picky. My Pico Slim doesn't drive it well for instance. It clips a lot at strong bass sounds. Just tried it with my Sansa Clip+ and it's quite decent, no noticeable clipping. Volume is maxed out, so it doesn't get super loud, but unless you're somewhat hearing impaired, it get's loud enough for me. Doesn't surprise me that the HE-6P works well with the Clip+, as Fang has a few and keeps them in mind when designing headphones. -Ed

I have some quality time with a HE-6P prototype. The best way I can compare is to think Etymotic ER4-S to ER-4P. The HE-6P is more efficient, but not extremely efficient. On my Grace m902, my HE-6 is topping out at 88 out of 100 for High gain with the quiet music. The HE-6P in comparison tops out at about 72 out of 100. Keep in mind that there is a significant gain boost at 85 with the Grace m902, so the volume scale is not linear from 0-100. I guess that doesn't really help anyone that has not used a Grace m902. Basically, in a nutshell, the HE-6P makes sacrifices in sound quality to achieve the better efficiency. So far I've noticed the treble suffers the most. Not a big change in quality, but it's noticeable, particularly in speed, clarity, and detail. Bass is still quite strong and fast with the HE-6P. Overall, if you're willing to get a high powered amp to power the HE-6, don't bother with the HE-6P. As far as I've heard, the HE-6 still sounds better. -Ed

LTTP, but I've been using an Eye-Fi X2 Pro for awhile. I'll bring it to MOAII, and you can check it out for yourself, Al, if you're still looking to get one and haven't already. It's pretty decent speed. Without an N speed router, uploading RAW's is painfully slow. But the really neat part is being able to upload directly to Facebook, etc. You can set it to only upload images you "protect" which then flags it to upload. Some digicam's firmware recognize the Eye-Fi, like my Sony NEX-5, and shows connection and transfer status. Others don't, but will still work, you just have to guess when it's done transferring. I got the X2 Pro version for it's ability to work with Ad Hoc connections, namely, I can upload stuff directly to my phone via it's wifi hotspot app. -Ed

For a second, I thought Head-Case had gone Huddler.

Razer's being extremely optimistic about the size of that thing. It was much smaller in person than I thought it was going to be. Even with the weaksauce Atom CPU, Oaktrail or not, it's going to either have 1-2hrs of battery life tops in that size, or more likely it will get a lot larger. Quite frankly I think they're missing the mark marketing it as a portable gaming device. It's just not going to have adequate power to play most popular games even at the most dumbed down settings. That keyboard looks slick, but the square grid set up vs. stardard offset staggered QWERTY layout makes is somewhat useless for typing. It's too big to use as a thumb pad, and too small to touch type. But it's just a prototype, so lots can change, and Razer's not afraid of letting a product sit in limbo as vapor-ware. -Ed

WTF is wrong with Syfy? I guess that puts the "why" in "SyFy". I was actually liking the darker direction the were going in.

Yay! They're doing a "Vancouver" and splitting up season 15 into 2 halves across the year.

You're all making me hungry and thirsty.

Wait, did I hear something about strippers? Is there going to be a Casino thread? Y'all topped the LA CanJam debauchery, I see...

I tried it out at E3. Was quite impressed. Definitely some latency, but still quite usable and responsive. -Ed

Anyone else try out the Halide Design Bridge further? I like the "true plug and play" aspect of it.

Oh shit! I'm going to have to try making those. Might be something my daughter might actually like.

King Crab >> Blue Crab. Had some at Crab Pot last week. Although Blue Crab is waaaay more affordable. I guess dungeness is closest to blue. I like blue better then.

BLASPHEMER!!!! I miss Skyline. Of course it's a lot easier to ship Skyline chili than crabs. Nice thing about LA is that we have Ralphs grocery chain that is part of Krogers, so they actually carry Krogers brand mild cheddar cheese which is pretty close to correct type of cheese.

Going to try a local sandwich shop right down the street from me called "The Busy Bee". Busy Bee Market - San Pedro - San Pedro, CA Can't believe I've never heard of it before. But I guess it is pretty hidden, it's not in an obvious place at all. Funny thing is my wife works at a diet center and one of her clients is addicted to that place and is one of their places to eat that they are having a hard time not eating at all the time.
