Has anyone tried the monolithic sound ps2? If I were to buy it would be between either the ci audio and monolithic ones for obvious reasons

EAC has a very basic redbook burner included with it's powerful ripper. I think the burner is good enough for all my audio needs and is very lightweight.

Here is the stack so far. The hpa is running in bootleg mode with one elpac and an adapter from a netgear switch combined into one power supply. I'm getting +11.94v/-13.5v which is pretty ugly but that doesn't affect the sound too much since even though the stock psu is +/-12v there is an upgrade that gives it +/-14v so it's all good. The thing gets crazy hot after about 5 minutes- even more so than the gilmore lite. I ran it through rmaa quickly and it looks very good. The headroom crossfeed(probably a very early if not the first one) is quite strong. I though more so on this than headroom's modern desktops and even more than the mobile line. I think the amp itself is not the widest in soundstage which is why the crossfeed is so strong. There is body added and the highs are somewhat accentuated too for an overall pleasant experience. I don't notice anything askew with the sound with the process off. With some recordings the crossfeed process can be outright luscious and adds so much body without masking anything that I will probably leave the switch on for the majority of listening I don't have hex screwdrivers that tiny so I can't take internal pics yet The final piece of the family- the dds3 transport, will arrive tomorrow and my destiny fulfilled

I got a package from UPS today too. It contained the audio alchemy hpa 1 I was expecting. The problem is, there is no power supply in the box. UPS is ghay. The power supply is a dual supply with stupid ass 1/8 trs plug connecting it to the component. I don't think even ray is dumb enough to do something like that.

oh shit. not good... on the bright side, i've been using this thing for a couple years now and nothing has yet happened... When the switch is tuned off but still plugged in, the unit would send a burst of power out- for example ever 15 seconds or so the fan's led's would light up and the fan will spin for a split second then turn off... scary shit that they took so long to realize... Thanks a bundle for the notice; i would have never been aware and it would really suck if that thing went on fire atop a towel covered computer..
