  1. 6 Moons did one. Take from it what you will. The difference is the colour, and the cable. Everything else is the same (unless the 303 pins aren't gold plated either like the SR-202). If you've got a really decent rig, you'll probably hear the difference. If you've got an SRM-313 and a Fubar DAC, probably not.
  2. Remember, all that wide ultra bandwidth means more electricity, and more electricity down the cable means that when the electrons get to the voice coil wire leads on the driver its like the small bore hole at the bottom of the dam and the electrons go faster up the little wires which makes the headphone faster. Normal cables are like a hole nearer the top of the dam because they're narrow and the electrons dont go as fast.

It does look pretty fake from Fiji onwards in embedded. But seeing in HD disproves it.

  10. I don't think I've ever laughed at one, but sometimes they are just plain old clever or lovely. If you want to laugh at a webcomic, read Cyanide and Happiness.
  11. Quite, quite astonishing. My Project has developed an inferiority complex.

Dreadful waste when theres all those children starving in Italy.
  13. I've sent an email. No reply yet, I hated missing the K1K.
  14. It's called remembrance day over here. Never forget.
  15. A black and white picture makes it an order more difficult to tell though
  16. Its a great pic. Is there a larger version?
  17. This is of course, the biggest factor, nay ultimately, the only factor, which induces the fear in such a material. It is the knowledge that control over its forces lies beyond the users power. It's like stting on a grenade thats had the pin pulled. *wile-E-coyote cliff noise* My vision is of the postman ringing the doorbell to get help prying the parcel off the inside of the van wall.
  18. Extraordinarily so. It's the reason why tubular bells exist as a compromise for large scale church bells. I read in a new scientist mag last year, might have been the year before last, that some boffins came up with a bell which brought unwanted resonance and unwanted harmonics down to a massively lower level (it was a rather odd taper figure 8 type shape IIRC) and in doing so, created a bell that people thought, upon ringing, didn't sound right.

  20. How do these magnets get posted? Do they arrive in a crate 3 foot cubed lined with lead?
  21. You are actually entertaining the possibility of using, just because it'll be set for 230v+/-10v, a surge protector with the entirely wrong kind of physical socket on it for the country's electrical goods? If I haven't got that concept entirely round the twist, then you're completely mad, buy a different product (one that will work). It's not as though there's a shortage of power bricks out there.
  22. I had to go buy one after I restored my iPod photo last month ( first time in, gods, probably since I bought it ) and of course, no longer could place the original firewire mains brick. I couldn't find a way around it. Cost me
  23. Could you do the titanium bowling ball if it was hollow? Give it a less dense core, napalm for example.
  24. A tube amp inside a tube.
  25. Desktop tesla coil.
