  1. One of his feedbacks says he threatened to kill the seller. Must be a Nigerian Warlord.
  2. The trick is in knowing how much the postage would be beforehand, which isn't easy, and it will be pretty monstrous I'd wager. With the pound tanked 30% against the USD $550 is now
  3. Does anyone know what the deal is for ordering an MMG in Europe? Magnepans website isn't exactly brimming with information. Maybe its because over here they'll be
  4. I shall wait it out the 7 days, and then give him the big bad rubber stamp. If he pays in that period, ill be less than fulsome in my feedback.
  5. A set of MMGs is now vying for the biggest hole in my burning pocket.
  6. Nobody wants Dougs Mini-Aleph Doug puts Amp on Ebay Auction gets two bids. Winn4r is edward.wills (294 Feedback) His bid placed 02-Dec-08 00:03:27 GMT Auction ended 06-Dec-08 20:15:00 GMT 9th December, Doug asks "When you gonna pay me lol?" edward.wills replies: "Hello, As don't have PayPal and I will never have - all paypal stuff are made by my best friend. I will remember him today to do it asap. If it's too long for you can sell it to the second bidder. It's really not a problem for me. Cheers, edward" Is there any way in which I can go about kicking this guy in the nuts for being a useless, time wasting, irritating little scab? I'm fairly certain that ebay T&C says that placing a winning bid is a contract and you must have means of fulfilling it.
  7. Whatever Senn come up with next it's bound to be moving coil and thus dull.
  8. Everybody's happy then. Jolly D.
  9. Oldfield can be arranged. Though last year for the head-fi exchange I gave Hank Shizzoe - Low Budget.

Whats the Wall E body made from? Omelette?
  11. You could build that amp that Dr Gilmore came up with for the TakeT and send it to me. Thats a good idea.
  12. If OP isn't going to follow through is someone else going to do the pairings, or is the whole project flushed?
  13. I suspect that the Goldring headband wouldn't extend enough for your head. It has to be right out for mine.
  14. With all the experimenting I've done with the SFI drivers, my biggest recommendation to you is to make sure to have a sealed earcup. You won't get that with the Grado Bagels. Unless you coat them in electrical tape or laminate them or something. With the same build on two Goldring headphones, the difference just between the DR100 velour pads and the DR50 pleather pads was vast. All down to the seal.

  17. Wasn't the idea that they managed to cram a whole lot of that top level performance into the newer micro and desktop range?
  18. We've had one snowfall. About 2 inches. Thats a hella lot for St. Andrews in November but it always melts really fast, must be the salt in the air. Fingers crossed for the first white Christmas since 1992.
  19. You'll be able to bastardise some kind of balanced output from the Quad if you knock together a Quadlink adapter. The Quadlink uses a balanced signal, but it's highly likely that a poor implementation for balancing the signal in the gear is at least partly responsible for the criticism that the connection gets for sounding shitty.
  20. Sign me up.
  21. Even with the Sterling tanking against the USD thats a pretty good price. I had my eye on one for absolutely ages.
  22. I urge you to buy a set of Goldring DR-50 and stick those SFI drivers in them.
