Three years, but the SR-007 isn't a daily use headphone for me. In terms of headtime over the last three years, the headphone that spent the most time actually on my head is probably the AMT. And yeah, experimenting with changing the pads would not be an exercise in ease and convenience.
Thanks for the comforting words. As for the old pads, I had idle dreams of some SFI ortho project employing them. You suspect that the Mk.1 Black ones might be different from the brown ones?
Saying that analogue is better than digital simply because its analogue is like saying that milk is better than juice just because its milk. It does nothign to actually explain a difference in taste or appearence.
The thing is that in this analogy, the cassette tape is dog milk.
that i remember..
Built Orthodome #1
Bought an HD-414
Bought a SRM-001 Mk.2
Built Orthodome #2
Gave #1 to my dad
Bought the Sony DAS-R1
Built Orthodome SR-3N
Sold it afterwards
Built Orthodome #3
Sold the SRM-001 Mk.2
Sold my Jecklin Floats
Sold the HD-414
Sold Orthodome #2
Sold the Squeezebox
Sold backup Surrounder
Sold the Aleph (unsucessfully thusfar, damn death threat sending moron)
So whats actually worth saying:
This year I bought a DAC, early next year I'll probably buy an amp.
Any notable sonic difference putting a set of Mk.2 pads on the Mk.1? If the Mk.2 pads are a bit firmer I'd go with them when I replace my pads in a couple of months. They'll be three years old then.
Mine ran its course last week. Worst possible time in the semester, thank christ this dissertation I've to get in is just the draft and not the final submission.
He's already left negative feedback but has yet to make any response in the dispute. I can only assume that when this all eventually plays out (I have to wait 8 more days ffs) I'll be able to have that feedback removed.
I'm going to telephone the nice Irish lady at ebay again tomorrow and provide a update. It simply gets through ebays "we honestly don't fucking care" fence where emails do not. Whats great is that he sent the death threat through ebays own email form instead of in a personal reply, so its all stored and logged on ebay for posterity and theres no way he can claim I've lied. I've also gotten in touch with the other seller who recieved threats.
He's in Belgium, I doubt that reporting it to the police would serve any purpose. But I can make sure he gets an unpaid buyer strike and negative feedback detailing he's a fuckwit.
A response to my opening of a dispute. I have also reported him via telephone and email to ebay and will be updating ebay with this latest communication.
