Help! My computer is infected and on it's last limb!

Spybot for spyware and AVG Free for antivirus are my apps of choice. -
I've seen some lame jokes, but that one had both arms, both legs, most of its face and scalp and the right nipple blown off by a grenade.

Investigation into possible mods for the Stax SR-404
Duggeh replied to spritzer's topic in Headphones
Strange things can start to happen when you move drivers further away from the ears. Or change the angle. Things can sound more out of the head, but never come back in close when they are supposed to. Just a couple of mm can make a really big difference. I'll bet Stax eventually settled on and then continued on with, the distance and angle they've had with the Lambda design for so long with good reason. This is from my experience playing with angles and distances on the AMT (and the SFI drivers, to a lesser extent) but I expect that the same principles would apply to the 404 driver. -
Oh yeah, neds are great. Chavs too. I'm well down with the hug-a-hoodie movement. I love the retronyms for both of them. Non-Educated-Delinquents and Council-House-And-Violent.

Its been years since I had the pleasure of addressing the E-numbers in a box of Nerds, Dweebs or other such tooth destroying wonders. Just thinking of the super-sour Nerds from my childhood makes my mouth water and my face wince. The perfect snack if you had Lucky Charms for breakfast and Mountain Dew with your lunch. I console myself in the fact that you guys can't get Irn-Bru or Red Kola as some sort of reciprocation.

Whats the american version of the BNP? This sounds like the sort of crap they come up with. I'd expect immigrants to learn the language of their adopted country and to obey its laws and rules, but I wouldn't expect them to conform to amalgamative conveniences of paperwork.

I'm rather hoping that this much rumoured portable bluetooth keyboard will materialise soon. Those fold up keyboards for the Palm PDAs were great.

I've got the in-line editing now I'm also getting better with the keyboard, but still find it difficult to use in portrait mode, I have fingers like black puddings.

"Right, you're being a total dick. Turn off his mic please Andy. I'm just going to talk to your bandmates here."

That Norah Jones CD that everybody seems to rave about. Come Away With Me. I can put up with it though, because I really do quite like the music. And while typing this it occurs that it was what was played at my aunts funeral. Guess its good I wasn't close to her.

A 50 foot length of Blue Jeans long run HDMI cable as I gradually convert my parents home cinema to HD. Just got to wait for the projector to arrive now.

Depends on if they repeat the Alpherio or whatever it was called and go all dynamic on you.

I've got a bunch of free time after I graduate if you want a second opinion on that. I'll bring the beer. I'd rather buy them off you for the AMTsellotapeheadphone. Cut open the pads on those limited edition -404s if you want to do some particularly probing pleather properties penetration.

It's certainly got the most robust headphone amp of any iPod I've had to date too, I plugged the AMT into it last night and was surprised how not totally shit it sounded. Can't wait to get my orthos back from over the pond now.

There are a few things which I don't like, but they're niggles in a very impressive whole. I'd like control over font sizes in the OS and the lack of Java and Flash compatibility in the mobile browser is an irritant. Especially for those websites that don't have an html version. I'd also be nice to be able to save images from the browser. Biggest bugbear though, is that I cant insert text into the middle of an existing line, I have to delete everything right back to the correction point. I hated the ebook solution for my iPod photo, it was murder on the battery life, as was lossless audio, because of all the hard drive access. I'm hugely impressed with the battery life on the touch, even with wi-fi on. I think that my netbook may be half-redundant now. And Stanza is great for books, although I can't find a free app for viewing PDFs that contain images. Stanza won't load them.

There's at least two or three people in every group of friends who just can't stop talking about their brand shiny new iPhone, how it's changed their life and they just couldn't do without it. It's enough to make you sick to the back teeth and to add insult to injury they're absolutely right! It might just be the coolest mobile phone ever and it just keeps getting better. But they're so expensive, and you've just shelled out money on a new iPod touch. Well, now it's time to get your own back on those smug bar stewards. The iClamp iPod Converter has been developed to give us mere mortals a chance to live the iPhone dream without having to sell a kidney. All you have to do is insert your simcard into the iClamp (any network will do - sorry O2) and clamp this device to your iPod Touch, making sure the top and bottom section are properly inserted. The onboard software does the rest - you'll see a little call icon pop up on the screen, which means your ready to make and receive calls. Hey presto - you've got yourself an iPhone, and all for under
