Well, finally got off my arse and did something about all of this Canjam stuff festering in my hard drive. I ran through all the pictures I took. Deleted the total shit ones. Then deleted the pointless ones. Then deleted some more. I kept the ones which were bad photos but possibly worth a damn and ran most of them through an assortment of cheap PSP filters in an effort to have that distract from them being fuzzy/smeared/whatever. If they were okay then I mostly left then alone. Not many were actually great pics, but I've never claimed to be a photographer. Like with Danjam, there's a big .RAR file of all of the original photos, with no processing or such which you can download if you are so inclined. Because of my lack of forethought. There are no original-rez versions of the ones I ran through PSP, just the 1024x768 versions. Sorry if that upsets. If you want a full rez version of one I could do it again. the .RAR is still uploading, but thanks to the miracles of the newfangled steam internet engine, I no longer rely on small goats to carry my data on their backs over large mountains in order to upload stuff. So it'll be done soon, rather than say, in 5 days. If you go looking for the .rar file on the FTP you might see it. It is still uploading, so please don't try to download it. I'd also be grateful if someone were to mirror the file elsewhere if possible. I have no idea what bandwidth I pay for, but I bet it isn't multiplepeoplex450meg file. /end.

Unless it's deep fried in beer batter and served with lard chips (fries), fried butter aint too great. You gotta dunk it in mayo too.

All the Paradox suit well for cellar aging if you fancy playing the waiting game.

I am, but no don't pass anything on my account. I'll eventually meet him myself. Probably at an AGM or an event in Scotland. If they happen to have any AB:01 for sale, be sure to grab one for your cellar and leave it there for a couple of years to mature.
-
Wish I could be there. The AB:02 launch is in London too. Wish I could be there too. All these events are so far away. I'm going to the Brewdog Dinner at The Saint on the 24th though. And pass on my thanks to James for the free beer from the PUB quiz

Biggie snored loud and tossed and turned like he was running a horizontal marathon until he quietened down and gently mubled nonsense for a while. I've never seen bedsheets to roughly tossed about around someones legs.

Aye, if i were only browsing and email I could live easily on 1mbit down 128k up. Personally, I want gigabit up, gigabit down and unlimited bandwidth usage for

This thread offers a condensed amalgamation of why this forum is a place which members should be honoured to be part of. It makes a clear case for the clarity of purpose we have here in being friends. Not something as simple of diffuse as a group of names next to icons who submit text oen after another. I feel privilaged to have met those of you I have, happy to have spent time with you and keen to know those of you I have not yet. I'm allowed to make fun of anybody who owns a Celine Dion album because I own the entire Eiffel 65 and Bloom 06 discography. I love Eurotrash too. To talk additioanlly on what I said before. I spent a time during high school when I had an indeterminate sexual orientiation. This was between starting puberty and eventually realising that I was a girl chasing boobie maniac. Even now, I have a comfort zone outwith most guys I know for homoerotic crosstalk, but it was something which lead me, however long or short it was, to a period of confusion. So I hope I didn't sound glib before.

Yeah if you're not a high abv beer fan to start with (which I think of as 7% ABV and higher) then the freeze distillation of the Penguin and Bismark is just going to go CLANG against your preferences. Myself, I choose a high ABV over a low ABV all being equal. The Tokyo* is my favourite beer ever out of a bottle (excepting the way side of court TNP and STB) and I frikkin' love the Samichlaus santa beer. Especially if you leave a bottle in a drawer for 12 months and have it the december after you bought it.
-
TNP bests Bismark, very slightly, but its comparing apples and oranges, and my beer preferences lean toward darker heavier beers all things being equal. If you're an IPA first type, Bismark represents Dogfish 90 minute/ Brewdog Hardcore/ FFF Dreadnaught with the mids taste taken to 11 and with the bass and treble both dialed round to 5 o clock and the alcohol sent through an additional gain stage to +awesome. If you want the salt behind your IPA in good dose, the Brewdog Atlantic IPA was the beer to go for. First real IPA for 200 years. I arrived back to find my Prototype 27 in the hall too. One bottle of that is already earmarked for Canjam 2011. Along with an Abstrakt AB:01. To propell the thread, Canjam isn't finished yet. It doesn't end until I meet up with Mike in Edinburgh.

It's almost 100V less than optimal. Joking aside though. I hope that nothing too burnt and smoking happens.

Fucking awesome cartoon. It's rare to say LOL and actually LOL. But I LOLed.
-
Thats a toned down version of the one I heard where she says "Would I!" and he says "Don't call me Woodeye Cuntmouth." The best jokes don't belong in Christmas crackers.

I was in Tylls room when the MD1 was in the test box. I asked about the TightAnus and what happened to it. Reception was muffled. I guess the guys there work for Rudi or something. I didn't even bother listening to it.

Fuckin A. I've been speed-reading through thread updates trying to stay on top of the last few days. Madness. And I'm tired as hell too. Hopefully cured of jetlag tomo, although I don't think I'll be entirely sober until Friday. Maybe a bit longer than that. I have to go find Mike!

Just read through the thread. Steve, well done for saying what you said. I can't imagine how difficult such decisions may seem to you. It doesn't do a damn thing to change the way I think about you. You're the same upstanding chap. (although I lump you under the heading of "barbarian colonial" just like most of the people on the forum) I have to say though that when you spoke about the other person who came out to you my immediate intuition turned out to be correct. The timeframe seemed to coincide with things I remember reading about. Ryan, you did seem to me to be more gregarious en masse at Canjam than at Danjam. I spent a lot of time talking with you at Danjam (there where people I spoke more with than others, as happens at events where you meet a lot of new people) and I got on with you well and it bridged the gap that there is between an aquintance and a friend (the online divide). You're being gay does fuck all to alter that. I'm glad that you had the bravery to move from the PM to the public forum and I applaud you for your bravery as I do for Steve and Shelly, who like Steve I met for the first time at Canjam. Attitutes change and I guess among the HC population I'm part of the young demographic. I've lived with people of all sexes, orientations, races, nationalities and political beliefs. I don't hold a damn thing against them (or for them) on these matters. A couple of them were arseholes, but this was because they behaved like dicks, not because they were gay or Chinese or communists. You judge people by their personalities, convictions and actions, not on the colour of their skin or what anatomical protuberances they have a preference for fondling (although I would put myself like others in the boobie camp there). Steve. I don't recall the details of the story because of the incredible compression of experiences and information over the last week, but I hope that at the time of your nipple piercing on the boat story you were still in your mixed period. It allows me to live lecherously and vicariously. I will condemn no man for being gay. However, straight or gay, it's a dreadful thing to admit you own a Celine Dion album.

Just got back home. Feel weird.
-
I'm back in the room. Birgir went to sleep in my time away. I went to print my boarding pass and was abduced by a wild Reks and co. The longest day begins soon.
-
The meet has wound down. I've just started my hangover. Food, beer and mariokart this evening and home tomo. Good stuff. I'd better start writing up my full report of the weeks events.
-
The late-late-late night show it'd seem.
-
No. People weren't allowed to listen to them. They had a 7 foot tall bald black man named Ted to whack your fingers with a cricket bat if you tried.
-
I didn't, but I'm going to go downstairs and "find" some black pudding and bacon. Maybe chance some colonial tea.
