I think it's taking the piss out of Sarah Palin because of her "I lived next to Russia, so I'm experienced in foreign policy" arguement.

My mate Andy Arthur did that animation. Going to the Brewdog/Stone dinner with him tomo night.
  3. As it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'll link Revolutionary HiFi - Brennan Home Page. This device is proving to be a big hit with the not-tech-savvy middle agers and up in my wider social net. Self contained ripper and storage (absolutely no need for a computer, usb drive, network etc) 160 - 500GB inside. Can use additional external storage. Ipod compatible. Aux input. Built in speaker amp. This guy is going from strength to strength, at least in the UK. And Sterling is still in the shitter which is good for export.
  4. Was it just that the cost and difficulty of sending it back wasn't worth the money? When my dad installed our kitchen, the sink came with a 20 year deal. 19 years later it cracked down the centre and, what with mum magically still having the reciept, it was replaced at no cost, with a fresh 20 year deal. If that happens again, my parents wont outlive the third sink.
  5. ^ Direct from the Cats mouth. I've never actually seen a file or disc with [176.4] on it. Just how rare is such a beast? I get the numbers being neat multiples of CD 44.1, which presumably has some very sound technical merit with regard to something. That being the case, why did 96 and 192 become the ones to go for? Just because they're respectively higher and have a 9 in them?
  6. Al dear boy, owch. Look on the upside though. 20 years ago they didn't have robotic hands. Soon you could be the bionic man, with the strength to crush almonds in your mighty metal fist.
  7. [seriouspost] Goldring DR-150 [/seriouspost] or Stax SR-202.
  8. The ceiling height was worked out in the next post, just in case you didn't read that far before stomping your foot in a huff at something of complete inconsequence.
  9. Broke in the new stuff. First brewdoug will be a pale ale with lots of cascade hops.
  10. Bolted your signal bias and transformers onto that yet?
  11. Delilah Cocktail Recipe - White Lady Cocktail Recipe ? Lime instead of lemon, which is more modern anyway.
  12. Red Vodka. Beer is just the middleman.
  13. I am trying to decide between the Logitech 9000 and the Microsoft Lifecam 720p to replace my labtec webcam (so old the labtec website doesnt have it). So far I'm leaning towards the Microsoft one (partly because it's cheaper). ...

  15. Hippitty Burpdai Dear Boy!
  16. Scary Brent. Glad it was all good in the end, I scared my parents shitless when I wondered off once when I was wee. Sorry about Fred Steve.
  17. Hippitty Burpdai!
  18. Welcome back to the fold Thaddy.
  19. Hippitty Burpdai Dear Chap!
  20. I'm sorry Brent. I hope it can be worked out.
  21. The Hunt For Red October. I love submarine movies.
  22. Quite so. A nice solid amp will wake them up from being "better than what you've got" to "really rather nice indeed". If they don't do what you hope they do and aren't as pleasing as you expect, or if you do like them and want to take them to the next level, for gods sake don't go dumping similar or more money to what the headphones cost in the first place on an aftermarket cable.
  23. It'll be the trickle coming in from reading Waynes interview on CNet. Personally, I think that it might be apt to let off on the stick and use a little more carrot with these chaps. My advice to the OP is to get the HD600 and see if you like them. They don't do anything wrong, unlike the K701. If you don't like them you'll have no trouble selling them on and trying somethign else.
  24. Finished searching 300 acres of barley for oats. Moved some cattle. Tested an electric fence (ow). Got covered in cow-shit water and blisters digging a horrible hole in stony ground for a water trough. Shovelled a lot of grain. Last day on the farm tomo. I don't think I'm cut out for this kind of labour anyway.
