For me this years top albums were:
Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (2002)
and
Ludovico Einaudi - Nightbook (2009)
Just got Mr B The Gentleman Rhymers new album. Still waiting for the new Eiffel 65 album.
Not much discovery which I'm earnestly remembering in 2010 it seems.
I actively welcome the reposting of anything worth a slice of a damn on this site irrespective of it being posted on Head-Fi or any other such forum, because I do not read them.
I read this forum, and much less so, the Steve Hoffman hardware subforum. That's about it.
But then if it's not my Ety ER-4, I'm not much into headphones these days anyway.
"He who controls the past commands the future, He who commands the future, conquers the past."
If I personally, were in DC for a day. I'd try to see the White Mansion, Lincoln Shrine, Washington Monolith and any time left in the Museums, waiting for Ben Stiller to bring everything to life.
Were you inside the shop? Surely the pavements are under the remit of the local council roads department?
I do know that in bullshit britain, if the council clears an icy pavement, and it subsequently re-ices, people who slip on that ice can sue. One would hope that any sensible judge would throw the case out though.
The Slim autobiography is a real favourite of mine and there are some great lines in it too. I think you will like it. I would have loved to have met him but he died 15 years before I was born. Stupid birth timing.
I did ask them to deliver them all at once, but I guess they got keen.
Merry Chrimbo!
Opened a delivery this afternoon to find my exchange goodies. Previously I've stuck such parcels under the tree and waited for the 25th, but as our tree isnt up yet, I figured I'd just tear it open
Al and I decided to buck the CD swap trend, and pretend that we are politically and militarily highbrow philosophical chaps with a historical inclination. Each of us picking something something of interest for the other.
I've recieved 4 books pertaining to The Great War:
I look forward hugely to reading through them, and I hope that Al enjoys his parcel as much as I shall mine.
Thanks indeed dear boy!
