I like having the screen on the Squeezebox. I dont think its intended as a replacement. I think that this system is perhaps to more directly compete with things like the Sonos.

Electrostatic amps are still inherently balanced in operation. You still get balanced out of them even with a single ended source.

Any future headphone purchases I'd consider would have to be driven in some way by a speaker amp. I thought that, as far as dynamic headphones were concerned, tis might limit options to the K1k and the K340, but if the HD650 likes it too then great. I liked the HD650 far more than the K340 during my previous ownerships with them. And the HD650 is one of the headphones I've let go of that I do sometimes miss, along with the BabyStax, HP-50A and the Ergo 2.

Facebook is a tool for keeping a basic tab on gossip. And Its pretty good as a photo storage service too. I just cant stand all of the pointless stupid for 13 year old girls and people who married their cousins applications proliferation. Because despite my best efforts, I still have friends or family on Facebook who are cretinous enough or just stupid enough to spam me out with their requests that I become a MentalPetrolhead, PirateOrNinja,HowHotAmI, DateRate, StripperName, CountriesI'veVisted, InsertApplicationHereAsshat. Groups are something that's listed in your profile, and which someone else reads, along with whatever information you put in your profile to judge you from afar. If you want to be active about something your a group member of, then there will be a proper forum for it, or better yet, you speak to such other people in real life.

The inflation adjustments for the USD make this so, but thats for peopel who spend in USD. For us in the UK, $100 is worth about ?0.37 at the minute. So our costs are lower (correct me if I'm wrong). Of course, we are hovering at around the ?1 per LITRE mark for petrol atm. Said goodbye to the aforementioned Missions, two sets of Jecklin Float Electrostatics, an HD280 Pro (awful awful headphones), a PX100, and a CX300 (awful awful awful awful earphones). I also managed to lose my B&O A8, which I really liked, had great times with the TakeT H2 and enjoyed the UK meet. Biggest lessons of 2007. Speakers are the win, amps DO matter, a lot, the K1000 is brilliant and I want one and vinyl is ftw.
