FTFY just kidding, I love SACD, but I love the pops and clicks on my vinyl as well. to me, they are part of what delivers are more involving and visceral listening experience.

Here here!! Thanks for your service!

chrome plated? I won't buy unless the headband is woodgrain. I'll bet that it'll go for >$3500.

I guess we're still waiting for a real dud to come out of this series.

Turns out Domkirke was the first southern lord vinyl I purchased that didn't sound "marvelous". Actually sides 1, 2, and 4 sounded marvelous, but there was a horrible repetitive scratching noise on side 3. Also they forgot to include my t-shirt. I finally boxed it up and sent it back last week, we'll see how the replacement sounds. Musically its gnarly as hell.

Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue Horace Parlan Trio - Us Three Freddie Hubbard - Here To Stay Hoffman 45s. Once again I ordered completely different titles then I thought I would. I listened to the Burrell on iTunes and was instantly enthralled. I've never heard guitar jazz I really like, aside from free jazz freak out stuff, but this was cool. I was iffy on the Parlan, but I thought it would be nice to have a piano trio when I feel like relaxing without a horn blowing in my face. The Hubbard I also checked out on iTunes and found his playing just awesome. I listened to my RVG Kenny Drew earlier and while I enjoy it, I decided I'd rather not pay $60 for it. It's hard enough shelling out $50 apiece for the ones with plenty of remaining stock.

I think that amp is frackin' gorgeous. We really must have a head to head comparison of the KGSS DX vs. BH, both with the OIIMK1 of course.

Intended to say "haven't" heard the LD. They are pricey, but to me they are the biggest no-brainer purchase I've seen. They are an investment whose musical dividends will only increase as I upgrade my rig.

Right on. I have an old LG 19" I could hook up to test that theory. Sucks though, my current monitor is a 24" Samsung and I love it.

Hey gang- Having some really bad video issues. I've had this BFG 8800GT for a while now, and its been great. Last week I started having problems: yellow lines across the screen, random swirly blue dots showing up in any picture, and several minutes after these errors begin, my screen starts going black for several seconds, then flick back to normal for a second or two, then black, and so on back and forth, basically making it impossible to do anything with my computer. I haven't run any games in a while, this just happens when I'm browsing the internet. My quick resolution is to shut down the computer for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on. Everything works fine for a few hours, then it starts again. So I had the yellow lines/blue swirly dots issue with an HP laptop I had a few years back, and the tech support person said it was the graphics card. So I pulled out the 8800GT (all drivers up to date btw) and put in my old 7950 and installed it's latest drivers. Looked like everything was working perfectly, and it did for about 24 hours, but just a few minutes ago my screen started doing the black out thing, back and forth between showing the desktop and black. This spell was not preempted by any yellow lines or swirly dots, it just happened. Again I turned off the computer for a few minutes and turned it back on, so far everything is fine. Thoughts? Thanks.

I thought you meant these monks: and I was gunna be like "hell yeah".

Thanks Al, you haven't steered me wrong yet. I have the RVG Drew and think its great, have heard the LD. We'll see what happens later today when I do some vinyl shopping.
-
Did I mention it also needs to be <$1000? Then it'd be perfect.

Ouch. The AD2000 has nice bass. I'll never understand why headphone manufacturers like to take away good bass. The W5000 could be damn near perfect if they could shift some of that upper midrange into the bass. Hell, it wouldn't even have to go that low, just some midbass would be great.

There have been a few moments when I felt a pang of sympathy for Michael this season. I attribute it not only to good writing but also to Carrell's acting ability. The ending of the previous week's episode is a good example. I love Beadie so much. Can't seem to ever remember her Office name, just know her as Beadie from The Wire. Don't ever yell at the customer!! That a good show? I've heard things.

Yeah I just did a search on HF. Doesn't looks very exciting.

I just read that the finish is actually urushi. Thats got to be what makes these cans so damn expensive: Products of NAKAYA handmade fountain pens So any word on the other cans in this thread, or are they not out yet?

Moanin' is ridiculous. I wish I had Leeway, I'll be snagging all the other Lee Morgan releases because I think he is neat. Looks like elusive disc just got Kenny Drew - Undercurrent and Lou Donaldson LD3+ back in stock for $60. If Al or Mike or anyone else who owns this would like to chime in to say if they are "must haves", please do. I'm hoping this economy will slow down sales of these 45s just a bit so I can stay caught up.

I think Michael Scott is one of the great characters in American post-modern art. His intense loneliness and desire for affection coupled with his awful social skills is so tragic, but so unbelievably hilarious. That scene with just him and Kelly in the office was great. Best scene of the season so far was Dwight and Michael and Jim simulating the customer call. Hell its one of the best scenes of the whole series.

over 18 months later, this thread still delivers. OK to be fair it didn't deliver so much in the early months.

purchase your DL-103 from ebayer williamthakker. Even shipped from EU his price is by far the best, and his reputation is impeccable.
