    The Wire

forgot I started this thread. IMO The Wire is the greatest television series of all time. enjoy!
  5. yeah I know, right? it's just scratching the itch right now.
  6. I thought chinese democracy was awesome. still think its awesome. great music, great sonics, great songwriting. its biggest negative is that is freaking Chinese Democracy and nothing it could have done could live up to the hype. Ferry Corsten - Once Upon A Night nothing but trance for me lately.
  7. shit, actually yes the earpiece needs to be loud enough. my original iphone was no where near loud enough.
  8. i would be so pissed if I lost all my contacts. i myself have been curious about iTunes seemingly arbitrary decision to create multiple backups. when I was trying to restore my phone I had my most recent one and then two from February. then it created about 3 more over a period of a few hours while I was trying to restore. weird. anywho I got my 3GS back and everything seems peachy. restored ok. i am not installing the new software because you all scared me. also I played with my friends droid and found it was a pretty good web browsing experience, just not as smooth as the iPhone. if the HTC Incredible has smoothed out the web browsing, I'm all for it. because honestly web browsing, email, and the calendar are the only things I give a shit about on my phone.
  9. my iphone broke. when I would press the lock button to "wake up" the phone, the screen would be mostly white with a series of multicolored lines. I could still receive calls fine but I just couldn't see the screen. After locked and unlocking repeatedly eventually the screen would come on properly, and so long as I didn't lock it again would be fine indefinitely. unfortunately it reached a point this morning where it just wouldn't give me anything but the white screen. Even though I was pretty sure it was a hardware problem I did try resetting and eventually restoring it, no dice. So I'm going through Apple's warranty return service, which to their credit has been extremely easy so far. Just bring my phone and return number to the UPS store. Anyway I am without a phone for the first time in my adult life. Its weird but kind of nice. I thought I'd be going nuts today but I was totally calm. Anywho don't tell apple, but I think my screen issues might have been the result of a drop I had, about 4 feet onto hardwood floor. The problems started shortly thereafter. Which is nuts because I dropped my first gen like 1,000 times before anything happened, and then it was just a stuck volume button. Anyway this has me considering a case. Does everyone like the Otter stuff? I'm thinking Commuter or even Defender.
  10. i say good ma'am, you do not speak for everyone here in this forum! i indeed have recently completely listening to the PS1000 for 400 hours and the GS1000 for 400 hours for a combined total of 800 hour. Indeed during this time I slept very little and alloweed myself one can of charly beans per session and one (1) hot dogs. i do say the break in characteristics of these two phones are remarkables ! during this time I was awake for quite a while during this time and beforehand i chose music tracks to listen to and the break in period. i created my own album and mastered it and sold 200000 million copies to myself and the shadow people so thankee to our newest and most wonderful mastering engineer member. indeed it is truly lovely to have a compatriot such as yourself to brave these dark forums with. i too have mastered my own albums (see above prgph) and can see the benefits of mastering albums using the GS1000 and PS1000 to hear pops and licks which I then destroy with Raid and NOT for putting in my eyes. thank you and good night!
  11. looks like something hacked my Twitter account. could have nothing to do with my recent infection, but I'm going to run a few more scanners and remain cautious.
  12. oh yeah got my HF-2's back last week from Grado. good as new, repaired under warranty. thanks John! b r double o k lyn the planet. now who wants to give me $575 for these so I can get some JH13s?
  13. well which is it? I need to know before I start masturbating.
  14. anyone have any experience using the apple wired keyboard on a pc? I have one of those awful logitech gaming keyboards and am looking to change. I'd be using the board with the numeric keypad for excel and calculator purposes. a little light googling turned up this helpful article: Use Apple Mac Keyboard on Windows PC Computer but I am wondering if any casers have any experience or opinions. thanks.
  15. going purely off of Jude's review and others opinions, the 16s are the 13s with moar bass. could be a cool thing to have with the 3A, since you have the bass adjustment. that way you could crank up the slam if need be. the way I look at it, if I was going just plain old headphone, 13. headphone and 3A, 16.
  16. people pick on Jack. but nobody fucks with Frank. respect.
  17. excellent point. wish the free touch offer applied to the mini. maybe I'm better off buying a drobo first. I did just build my win7 machine in December. and it's pretty badass.
  18. I hate that the price went up.

    Canjam 2010.

Frank is a good name. Usually people confuse my name with Jake. Dan right? Glad you made it to HC! PM incoming.
  20. thank you all for your help, I really really appreciate it. I really don't get upset over a lot of things, but when my computer starts messing up I get frustrated and upset easily. First, I have no system restore point. I probably should set that up. Second, I was apparently having trouble hitting F8 at the right time to enter the Advanced Boot Screen, so I went with the "shut down as many processes as quickly as possible" method. It worked, so I downloaded Malware Bytes and ran it, it detected and quarantined five items, all of them related to AV Suite. Upon reboot everything appears cool. I am rerunning Malware Bytes and am downloading Spybot as well (I don't know why I didn't have Spybot on this new machine to begin with, I've run it for several years on other machines). So I'm tentatively saying it looks like everything is cool. No pop-ups, no programs shutting down. Problem solved more easily then I thought it would be. so thanks again! looking forward to the mac mini refresh.
  21. thanks! at cracker barrel now, will try later.
  22. I'm using windows 7. I might try to get spyware dr on my parents' machine.
  23. haha I was just thinking "get a mac mini". I use a free av scanner called Avira. I'm typically pretty savvy about this kind of stuff, but I guess I must have clicked something that let it through. most of my stuff is already backed up, and I still have enough access to grab the few files I need off my main drive. I've been googling for answers on my iPhone, buy they all recommend editing registry, end processes, open task manager etc, all stuff I can't do. I'll probably just format this evening.
  24. hey guys- being attacked by a malware program called AV Suite. no idea where it came from. I can't run firefox for more then 10 seconds, can't open my regedit for more then one second, can't open taskmgr at all. I'm think I gotta format. any words of advice? thanks.
