black levels look great to me, but keep in mind i'm coming from a 4 year old 32" Westinghouse, and I am most definitely NOT super experienced in lots of high end televisions. Having said that, the scenes I am mostly in awe of are the night time scenes. We are watching season 6 of Lost right now on DVD, and the night scenes around a campfire are just glorious. the darkness and the light from the flames are just awesome.

pretty much finished my auditing term paper. beyond getting a report binder and proofreading, the rest of the day is just Chinese food and Pawn Stars marathon.

Shortly after I made my post praising the plasma television, I blacked out. When I woke up the television was gone, and my left hand smelled funny. Thanks for trying to warn me, but I think its too late. Unless the worst is yet to come...

I got my P46S2 Friday! my friendwhiknowsalotabouttvs came over and helped me set it up. it's amazing. all about the motion baby, beats the shit out of LCD. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Hell I gave the Ed. 9 a shot, and that was deep in the Ultrasone HC hate game. Through lots of study, experience, and I'd like to think at least somewhat of a natural predisposition, I'd like to believe I've learned a little (a little!) about good sound. And I've consistently found myself surprised to have my preconceptions based on reviews proven wrong through actual listening experience. So I will always give a can a solid, honest shot, and not just so I can gleefully rip upon it later on the internet. I do it because I might just find something unique and cool I really enjoy, that maybe everybody else doesn't.

just wanted to say I currently have the pleasure of auditioning the Neko DAC. I haven't had a bunch of time with it yet, but if I were to describe my impressions in a word: vivid. and without sounding digital. sounds like generic impressions, I know, but it really does sound like a vivid, accurate analog rig. I guess my preconceptions formed from earlier reviews made me think the sound would be soft, but it's not. it's really quite alive and lovely.

well really this is just the other side of us oohing and ahhing over the new stax flagship. we've come to expect excellence from stax so we assume the new model will be excellent. I do appreciate where dusty is coming from, but having said that I think it's fine to rip on some shit we haven't heard. it's better then lauding shit we haven't heard. who gives a fuck ya heard aardvark wins most valuable poster in this thread.

well since I just bought a TV I probably won't be able to pickup the 93 until 2011. hopefully it's still in production then. looking forward to everyone's impressions.

I had no intention of buying the box but at that price I went for it. I do like mono.

to be fair I am basing it on one beagle experience I had with a roommate in college. they certainly look like sweet dogs, so I am sure other beagles aren't as bad.

I definitely checked a bunch to see if I smelled. I notice it as soon as I sit down in the car. at first I thought maybe I pooted, but I kept noticing the smell. after work I opened the trunk and the smell hit me. I'm wondering if I could have somehow left some meat in the car. I'll get some kanye west glasses and lemon pledge and try the Voltron Meat Search Method. I didn't read your post very closely but that is what I inferred.

I checked under the hood for dead animals, I looked under the seats and in the trunk, I don't see anything. also it doesn't smell bad under the hood, only inside the car and in the trunk. It smells like something dead and has grown stronger throughout the day. suggestions?

I have no personal experience buying a TV from Amazon, but they are hugely popular over at avsforum. I've heard nothing but good things about their shipping, and 30 day return policy. Just have to make sure you are actually buying from amazon and not from a third party seller through amazon. I know it seems weird having a TV shipped to your house, but hey, that thing is coming off a truck somewhere, might as well be your house. I did order my lawnmower from amazon, and its kick ass. I'm actually planning on buying my TV from amazon next weekend. That will put the delivery timeframe when my GF is on vacation and will be home to sign for it. However this also gives me time to pricewatch amazon, best buy, and walmart. The price of the model I want has risen on amazon so we'll see.
