I sauntered over to Best Buy at 6pm when I got off work on the off chance demand wasn't as high as expected and I could snag a $499. the line was quite long, from the back of the store to the front. looks like they had a good system going down with vouchers etc. I talked to an excited young man in a blue shirt who informed me the $499 models were sold out. which is fine because I wasn't about to stand in line for an hour for one. I'll probably end up ordering online and waiting. in the mean time I'm enjoying reading user reports.

Anyone ever bought a used Mac laptop on eBay? I've long tinkered with the notion of having a laptop to play around with (web browsing in the den and on the road, homework, etc) ever since my old HP died 4 years ago, and recently I thought about buying previous generation Mac stuff used. With the new MBPs out I figure the market should be flooded soon with older MBPs. Is there a better outlet then eBay?
