  1. Yes, I noticed that. It is a very good looking amp. Very pretty, IMO.
  2. and they ship in a very pretty case.
  3. lol
  4. sorry jpak, the postjack factor is a no spin zone. *cuts jpak's mic* see jpak is a koolaid drinking secular progressive, and we just catch him and his left wing nutso friends in their lies. bring me a fact to back it up jpak, ONE FACT, and we can talk again on the factor. Foo Fighters, okay? OK... Anyway, got hungry reporting back in, says the W A 5 still looks great, thanks for keeping us posted. and somebody reminded us the 6sn7 is the "campbell's soup" of tubes. I can't confirm this yet, but we have our people on it...
  5. Just in off the wire! the WA5 makes philodox semi-erect in the penis, meanwhile jpak is learning to fly like the foo fighters song b/c the amp inspires him much like the foo fighters song inspires its listeners. aerius doesn't give a shit. it is possible aerius has not actually seen the amp in pictures yet. stay tuned to the postjack factor, after the break geraldo is showing up to weigh in on the W A 5. no spin, fair and balanced!! geraldo!
  6. more reviews! hungry and recstar say "WOW THAT IS ONE SEXY AMP DAMN!!!"
  7. the reviews are in!!! big thumbs up from REK DOG.
  8. What do you think about a $3000 woo amp? http://www.wooaudio.com/products/wa5.html Anyone at the meet listen to it?
  9. But, like DC said, I will own them all eventually. I have 23 right now, and bought all of them for between 8 and 12 bucks a piece. I mean, how awesome is that.
  10. This is one of my favorites: All the Heifetz ones are great. Anything with Fritz Reiner and the CSO. Also check out sa-cd.net to read more reviews: http://www.sa-cd.net/titles/0/296/date/100/1

  13. he did mention sinatra in his thread on sh.tv. did you enjoy yourself at the meet?
  14. There are lots of great options for budget phono, but its true that it seems no TT gets 100% respect from phono enthusiasts until you get to the VPI Scout area, which runs $1600. People will always find bad things to say about the MMF, Rega p1-2, and of course Technics tables. I enjoy my 1200, but its obvious from listening to it that vinyl could just sound so much better.
  15. I bought my ppx3 used, but its harder to find a used singlepower with the features I want. i'm just going to buy two b52s, one for the tt and one for the cdp.
  16. I keep wanting to buy an extreme with two headphone jacks and two inputs so that two people can listen to Grados at the same time, but I'm continually turned off by the ridiculous wait times. Its not so much that I would mind waiting, but I would mind having to constantly call and pester and be bullshitted to.

actually the laser will be powered by pure rock and roll, which presents a challenge. I have to teach the medieval minstrels to kick out a funky groove thang, much like Martin Lawrence did in his classic fish-out-of-water comedy, Black Knight.

Technically the human mind cannot grasp time lengths as vast as one thousand years. Ergo, my claim remains unproven. Solid as a rock.

At three minutes and four seconds after 2 AM on May 6, the time and date will be 02:03:04 05/06/07. This will never happen again.
  24. I know most of you probably already know this from reading over at the sh.tv forums, but this is too exciting not to mention here. Quoted from Steve Hoffman: "As most of the world knows today, it has been announced that Rhino/WB/Reprise has undertaken the most ambitious vinyl reissue program of any major label in recent history. Spurred on by a vinyl lover high up in the Warner Bros./Reprise records administration, I can now reveal that Kevin and I have been remastering for Rhino 180 gram vinyl the cream of the WB/Reprise back catalog for release. Mastered at AcousTech and pressed on virgin vinyl at RTI, Camarillo, these albums will feature the original artwork, track listings and (most importantly to me) are all being cut in true analog from the original Warner Bros./Reprise stereo master mixes, some untouched for 35 years... FRIENDS, this is the time to buy a turntable. Trust me on this: You will not hear these classic titles sound better anywhere, ever!" There are so many cool things in the above quote I don't know where to start. http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=112018
  25. Cool, I'll be sure to check that out! Though in the past I have been weird about books about musicians. Hell, I'm weird about almost any non-fiction book, I tend to lose interest in the first hundred pages or so. The exception to this rule is this book, which is so engaging and entertaining I'm thinking of rereading it.
