  1. but that one is a preorder, i can't do a needledrop NOW.
  2. Interesting! Thank you for explaining that to me. So knowing this, is the beta22 still an appropriate amp for someone like me, whose favorite headphones' impedances are all over the map?
  3. which one?
  4. i'm not a poser, i am a real southern og.
  5. just so everyone knows I really don't listen to my music with the volume turned up all the way. its just an image I perpetuate to look cool.
  6. So is it not possible to install a gain switch on a beta? The high-low gain switch is something I really like about my Dynahi. Provides enough flexibility with the volume knob for all of my headphones. Oh who am I kidding, I always got the volume at MAXXX no matter what headphones are hooked up. loud as all hell. beat bumpin, cranium shakin, damn.
  7. yo fool brain
  8. omas paragon '05 with HT trim.
  9. new production vinyl is such a fucking money sink. i just preordered the KG Aja. I also just received my copies of Trey Band's "Horseshoe Curve" and Drive-by Truckers "Southern Rock Opera".
  10. have you try putting it on more bacon? additive synergy.
  11. 1200, AT440MLa, Bellari VP129, Dynahi, and HD650 is budget analog bliss. The head-case beloved W5000 also kicks ASS with vinyl.
  12. how about three tubes?
  13. Pizzle: I will gladly trade you a pair of the amperex 7308 GREEN LABEL 1970S PRODUCTION for your Joseph Grado hp one thousand. These are extremely rare and highly sought after tubes by audiophiles, guitar players, and hamass radio enthusiasts alike. They will bring out the timbre and soul in your music like no other tube you have ever heard! It will make your L3000 sound like the best grado and the best sennheiser in one phone. Imagine the warmth and massive soundstage of the sennheiser combined with the rocking liquidity of the grado headphone combined into one headpone, and what you have is the L3000 powered by the amperex 7308 green label. Hamasses and audiphiles agree: this is a synergistic combo made in audio heaven!
  14. It is also a very heavy piece of equipment. I'm surprised by how heavy the top is everytime I open it up.
  15. Selling stuff is such a pain in the ass. I used to actually enjoy the whole process, but I got tired of going to the post office and Fedex all the time. I've considered selling my Melos recently, since I'm so pleased with the way the Dynahi handles every headphone I've thrown at it. But I'm thinking maybe I just haven't found the right tubes yet. I got in those green label 70s amperex 7308s, I'll give them a shot. More and more lately the Melos has just acted as an expensive switchbox.
  16. I second Seconds Out, its a fantastic live album with lots of great tunes (and it starts with "Squonk"!!!). Studio I'd either start with Selling England By The Pound or Foxtrot. But then when you are ready for the REAL intense Genesis, check out Abacab or their self-titled. Some folks can't handle the Collins/Banks/Rutherford three headed 80s single-cranking juggernaut though, i.e. jpak.
  17. that could be a deal breaker then. \
  18. More questions: 1. Do I remember reading the cups are a bit larger on the L3000? The W11JPN is a bit snug on my ears. Comfortable, but just a bit snug. 2. How do the soundstages of the W11JPN and L3000 compare?
  19. i'd make it your custom title if I was a mod and you were not.
  20. [me=postjack]waits for the scene to segue into a Swearegan blowjob soliloquy [/me]
  21. NO, as opposed to non-human penis, i.e. cow penis, frog penis, ghost penis, etc. so actually the designation man penis is correct. and why is everyone knocking the RS-1s all the sudden? are they not cool anymore?! i better sell mine pronto.
  22. actually plenty beats the original matrix, like ferris bueler's day off, for example. The best thing that came out of the matrix was the skit they did at the mtv movie awards where will ferrell was the architect. lols.
  23. genesis is king of all bands. my current obsession is "a trick of the tail", "squonk" in particular. i could listen to that song like, forever.
  24. tkam has the birthday!!
