Received jpak's old K340 today: Been listening to it all night, across a variety of genres. This is certainly a unique headphone, and I can see how with a bit of tweaking, it could become somebody's reference phone. Everything sounds "right", from top to bottom, and with the Dynahi I don't feel like its lacking any juice (though I literally have the volume at maximum right now listening to MFSL "The Wall"). The midrange is nice and sweet, the highs are extended, but maybe mildly offensive. I do wish there was more bass impact, across the entire lower spectrum. Certain drums kick with ferocity! But it is only a very specific midbass note that seems to give me that bass satisfaction. Some more "kick" across the full drum kit would definitely be wonderful, and elevate this can to super fun time for me. So what impact do Larry's mods have on the overall sound of the K340? Is it possible I could get that fuller bass I'm after?

oh don't worry, its my backup show for when netflix gets in a rut. i rent all the other series I'm watching, but I buy DS9, so if I send out a disc to late, or netflix is just slow in getting me a new disc before the weekend, I always have my DS9 discs to fall back on. Come to think I need to go ahead and order season 4, since I'm halfway through season 3.

been bouncing back and forth between DS9 season 3 and NYPD Blue season 3. DS9 is starting to get really good this season. pretty dark for a trek!

basically fuzzy ear is kind of like a barbed tentacle: once it gets in you, you have to pull it through to get it out. so you need to get an IEM (just one), a Dynahi, Beta22, or similarly powerful amplifier, and a copy of the Iggy Pop "Raw Power" remaster. Put the IEM in the fuzzy ear and turn up the volume BIG TIME boy, like loud yall. boom after like 5-10mins that fuzz will go straight through your brain brain and out the other ear. you know it'll be done because a thin yellowish smoke will puff out of that ear, that is the fuzz leaving. then you can rock out 4 real yall, no block for the rock up in ya chop shop.

I'm always intrigued by a full line of products from one manufacturer that can pretty much handle all your audio needs. As much praise as I've read about the Opus 21, I'm surprised to have never even heard of the S30 Integrated Amplifier and the XS "Extra Sources"..., um, box thing, which has an MC and MM phono stage, additional inputs including USB, an FM/AM tuner (!!!!!!), and a headphone amplifier. Can't find much about these two components around the world wide internet. Anybody ever seen them, heard them, or read a review of them?
