"have you ever looked into his eyes? its like the first time I listened to the Beatles..." "you cockblocked mcclovin!!" so many great one liners. Yeah, the plot is the stereotypical "get booze get laid" high school comedy, but the dialogue is smart, the pace is fast, the comedic timing is out of this world, and the comedy itself is loaded with tension. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh.

watched two more episodes... was up until 2am. ugh... another addictive HBO show. hopefully going to go see Superbad with some friends this afternoon.

Still in SACD land, last night I ordered the Kinks "Arista Years" and "RCA Years" boxed sets, which are basically all the SACDs thrown in a cheap slipcase and marked down for clearance. I already own "Celluloid Heroes", the other greatest hits SACD, and "Everbody's in Showbiz" (which means I'll have a duplicate of that), and they sound great. Wanted to snag these up before they go OOP.

Exactly. RS-1 = rock and jazz only K1000 = classical only with no bass HD650 = sloppy slow tubby bass for classical only all other phones are only good for Reks to listen to game music.

h8 delivery exception! that was a dumbass move on my part having the amp sent to my home address. i did just get an email from my mom saying that an 85lb package is waiting for me at their house. I was smart enough to get the speakers shipped there. I must have had a brain fart when I ordered the 840a. It was late at night...

My K340s need way more knob crankage then my HD650. I'm fairly sure the 2/4 would be insufficient for K340s.

I'm hoping the balanced beta22 with gain of 2/4 will be all things to all my dynamic cans. I like tubes as much as the next guy, but I don't think there is a tube amp in existence that pairs equally well with both high and low impedance cans. What impresses me so much about the Dynahi is that it works fabulously with every can I throw at it. I'm hoping the beta22 will be the same way. Probably the only thing that remains to be seen is if that gain will be enough to drive HD650s, but I think it will be fine. Not that its the same thing, but even with my gain switch on low on the Dynahi I still have plenty of volume on the Senns. Anywho, I already have three sources, I really don't want to be a multiple amps guy. I did it for a while (Melos, Dynahi, and PPX3 Slam) and that was no fun. This got me thinking, what popular OOP can prices are not going through the roof lately? PS-1, HP-2, and L3000 prices have all risen significantly.

I paid $445 for my pair, and I just bought them this past spring. But a couple months after the purchase the left driver blew, so I had to pay $100 to have that replaced. So effectively I paid $545.
