    Browntracker

An incredibly eclectic, super-weird, drugged out duo who go by the names Gene & Dean Ween. They've done everything from lounge to hardcore to dance to country, sometimes all in the same album. They have a rabidly devoted cult following.
  2. I'm going to buy 20 L3K drivers and mount them in 20 W100 enclosures, then mount them on two vertical racks and power them like speakers.

http://www.browntracker.net/ Very cool, I didn't know this site existed. Torrent site specifically for Ween and Ween-related goodness, and no lossy files! With the new album and the discovery of this site, I think I'll be getting back into Ween.
  4. I'm pretty sure she also doesn't like the d5000. Maybe "hates" is a strong word, but she had a big thread over at HF about how she didn't really get the D5K.
  5. Listening to this right now, so far I really like it! Gone are the bluesy leanings he had on "Paper Monsters", in favor of a much more electronic style that ranges from the portisheadie to the skinny puppyish, and this only in the first three tracks. Some great Gahan singing, growls, and yells. Pretty damn cool.
  6. The pics of the W3000 did make me happy, I bet they sound great. I'm much better now that I'm home for the weekend.
  7. Personally I haven't read of any rumours of upcoming products on the horizon. D5000 is FOTM, and reviews make it out to sound kind of like a closed HD650 with better bass and super duper comfort. May be up your alley. boomana hates it though.
  8. Now that I can see the pictures, they are super sweet. Congrats JB!
  9. Sorry for losing my temper, bad day at work. Apologies Todd.
  10. Yeah, fuck you for bashing Nate, you piece of shit.
  11. I have also done this.
  12. yay!! i can't see any of the pictures but I'm very happy for you.

    Battlestar Galactica

BSG is truly king of shows.
  15. The best part of episode 4 was the banging noise that Pam had to go investigate. I think the last time I laughed that hard at The Office was when Michael was telling the story about how exactly he burned his foot on his Foreman grill. Or the Andy meltdown.
  16. I don't know what it is either, so either we are both dense or we both missed something.
  17. OK, its getting a little better. I find its best when I just insert them and leave them be. If I keep pulling them out and trying to put them back in to get a "better" fit, it ends up just irritating my ear canal, which starts the itching. Of course the possibility of channel imbalance drives me fucking nuts, especially since the IEMs can feel like they are in each ear differently, even if they aren't. So I just have to tell myself to cool out and listen to the music. Just did a little Harnoncourt & Aimard Beethoven Piano Concerto. Sounded good as an MP3 ~245kb/s V0 fast. Little hollowish in the piano notes, not totally full and natural, but still an impressive sound.
  18. congrats on the anniversary!
  19. First impressions: great balanced sound, good bass weight, excellent highs, maybe a tad congested in the midrange. However, I remember now why I sold my iM716s, because having IEMs in my ears makes me want to drink poison. My ears just itch itch ITCH, ARGH! This happens with both the triple flange and the foamies, its almost impossible for me to stand having them in more then one or two songs. I have to rip them out and shove my finger in my ear and scratch scratch scratch, oh thank the gods for this sweet scratch. Any tips on possibly prolonging my IEM listening experience?
  20. Just got a box in from headroom today. I have to goto class after work, but I'm looking forward to trying these out when I get home. Got my shuffle all loaded up and ready to roll.
  21. nah, we're not insane assholes, but kevin gilmore is our unofficial insane-god.
