These were all taken on my Pentax K-x with the Pentax 100mm f/2.8 WR Macro, straight off in-camera jpeg. The macro shot used a Metz Mecablitz 48 AF-1. What a great little flash unit. The built in diffuser and reflector card make it awesome for macro shots, almost alleviating the need for a ring flash. Here's one focused at 1:1 indoors in low light using the flash:

Well that's the 9 cell I have plus an additional 9-cell "slice" battery that attaches to the underside of the laptop. Both 9 cells have equivalent Wh ratings, so you essentially double your battery capacity by getting one. Unfortunately for me, it costs an extra $130 to buy the slice on its own.

They have claims of 22 hours? Maybe I'm doing something wrong (or else it's just because of me having discrete rather than integrated graphics.) I've got a single 9 cell in mine, and I get about 5 hours, 30 minutes of normal use. The slice battery is another 9 cells, so that would be about 11 hours. That said, I love my T410. Good choice.

RIT has failed to break tradition and cancel classes. The email they sent out was something like "If you're unprepared for this snowstorm, you're going to die, because the world is about to end, but you have to go to class anyway."

There are rumors today of my college planning on closing due to snow. My college is in Rochester, NY. It NEVER closes for snow. It hasn't had a day where classes were cancelled in years. That's a lot of snow.
