I knew these wouldn't be priced anywhere near SR-007 territory. If Sennheiser can charge $5000-6500 (whatever the last batch of HE90 cost) for wood and plastic, Stax certainly can do it with a better made product.
Just plain Optix, I am guessing it is similar to the Aqua. They are the most breathable lens I've tried. I usually buy a years supply at a time so they are probably a discontinued name/model.
I had Bio**** something or another that were meant to be worn continuously for 2 weeks. They were not great.
Any links to RMAF coverage by websites? I am only seeing enjoythemusic's up right now. Mostly interested in pretty pictures
edit: I see Steve Dobbins had a room setup, any of you analog fellows get to hear his Garrard? Truly a wonderful TT IMO.
I don't know, he paid for all the modifications they were not done by himself, you can get crazy amounts of displacement from those rotary engines. His daily driver was a tiny Nissan Micra. Crazy Europeans
In Ireland the biggest determining factor is the size of your engine. A friend had a 600 HP RX-7 and the insurance was close to a Fiat Punto. He also had a modified Aprilia that put down 130 hp to the rear wheel
Brent good to have you back. Trust me you don't need to dedicate much time to FF, a few minutes to switch around bye players and look up projections is all there is to it. It will be nice to have another competing team!
Well the Sound Mirror rep specifically said the redbook layers were new transfers from the master tapes. I believe they are on Facebook so anyone can leave them a message.
I guess I never saw it as an SR-007A replacement. It is hard to say since the Omega line has so few models whether Stax will replace or add the new Omega to the lineup.
My prediction for the new Omega price- Japan $3500 plus or minus couple hundred, USA around $4500. USD is pretty weak and I don't see it improving in a couple of weeks so the Japan price could be higher...
