  1. Bit o' Jug before the Pats game. Analogue Productions 45 rpm vinyl of course
  2. Happy belated birthday, hope it was a good one!! Sorry to hear you're a Browns fan though
  3. What is with the House photo, did they have them on the show?
  4. That sounds like the coolest cake ever. Did your friend take pics of it? I can't imagine that cake was easy to carve out given the complexity of bowel loops.
  5. Yeah I changed it back to Dan's thread title. I am hoping for a lot of snow. No work Thursday and Friday and I want to get some snowboarding in on the fresh stuff
  6. Google image search turns up a surprising number of cakes made in the likeness of breasts
  7. woo hoo part 3, lets celebrate with some cowbell
  8. Yeah, probably some tube amp that sounds moast awesome with 10% THD at 20 watts.
  9. I'm more annoyed with Green Bay making it through. Really solid team all around I would rather not see the Pats face them if they got to SB. I'm predicting Pats Steelers for AFC title game, which will also be a hella tough game :/
  10. Only turned on the second half of the Saints game assuming it was going to be a blowout. Glad I watched this one jesus
  11. You should combine those two, Hello Kitty audio cables.
  12. What you need are some of them horn speakers. The ones that look like someone gone cupping their hands round their mouth, play real loud they do.
  13. Moved O2 Mk1/Mk2 discussion to the general Stax thread: http://www.head-case.org/forums/headphones/785-headcase-stax-thread.html
  14. Such a great picture black Omegas and black T2
  15. postie get a Rega DAC because you are an SH member and over there Rega = moast win
  16. Very nice! You're well into dinner time, don't keep us hanging let us know how it sounds
  17. Port is present on your set. It's the piece in the white plastic that looks like it is engraved out.
  18. G25 is a fine choice, though I would wait for prices to come down a little. They were way up during the holidays. I don't care much about broadcast 3D content, but I have enjoyed movies in 3D so I'd like to see the tech catch on.
  19. So I've been running a plain old DL-103 and for the last several weeks a Dynavector 20X (lo). I really don't think the Dyna offers any added detail or resolution, and I have it loaded down at 100 ohms. Any higher and I get sibilance in parts where there should be none. What I am really impressed with is how much less noise the DL-103 picks up. Once even VG condition vinyl has been through my cleaning regime the DL-103 is just a lot quieter. I mean it obviously can't do anything for deep scratches, I am talking about surface noise mostly. I just ordered a DL-103R, these Japanese broadcast cartridges. I will keep a high end MC for audiophile vinyl that is naturally quiet.
  20. The SR-007 does have a small soundstage, but IMO a lot of the deficiencies described aren't present with the MK1 and a high power amp.
  21. Nope not blind test, but I want to try it in the future. Levels were matched. The Transit is toslink, the Lynx was coax. But by your theory that bits is bits it shouldn't have mattered that they were using different digital outputs.
