  1. Morgan Jones Valve Amplifier books (I think it is Valve Amplifiers that has the gentle introduction to Ohm's Law, Thevenin's, etc). Also many of the PDFs on PassDIY.com are newbie friendly.
  2. Uh the article is from 2007 and I think many people have already heard the news...
  3. So many Packers fans at a SB they aren't in *snicker*
  4. ujamerstand is hosting a Terraria private server. Map size small Difficulty (whatever you set your character when creating one) Game mode normal We should organize a night where we meet up and mess around, build an epic house and kill some bosses! I'm sure some of us higher level players can help out new people with armor, weapons, etc. Server details
  5. Pretty much. Though there were some other equalizations used pre-RIAA. Maybe Marc has one of those special phonos that can decode Decca and stuff.
  6. Best I heard the LCD-2 r1 was balanced on my Dynamite, but still too little treble for my taste.
  7. Seems like a spot on analysis to me. Neil is a huge analog fan and has been pretty vocal about it.
  8. The Flaming Lips with Yoko Ono latest 12" release. One glow in the dark, one regular version. Sold out in under 30 minutes on the bands webpage. Looks like they received just a few leftovers from the OKC New Years Eve show.
  9. Oooh very pretty I can even add sparkles to it. I think I will give this a shot

    Top Gear

BBC has a series called "How to Build" and one of the episodes is about the McLaren car that May drives. It's quiet crazy the lengths they went to build them. I might be alone in my thinking, but I don't see the appeal in it (IMO sort of generic looking, average performance numbers, for a lot less than half price there is the Audi R8). It seems the high price is to recouperate a lot of money from their over the top production facility.

    Top Gear

that Top Gear is now in HD
  12. I'm fine with building a full balanced version. I'd rather have a full balanced one that is prototyped and known to work perfectly than screw with perfection.
  13. I'm interested in single ended as well, but not a big deal building full balanced and using adapters.
  14. Have to say I'm damn impressed with the Spacedeck. This is a lot better than the Scout.

    Need Some Help

    Done. Good luck to her
  16. Temperature wise this winter has been pretty mild as well. I'm pleased my Civic handles itself much better in the snow than the Nissan Sentra ever could.
  17. Some more, since there is 2 video limit per post http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ7UpD4AquU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWyj03OSvek
  18. Sorry I'm a bit unclear, do you want suggestions for old bands? I can't remember any new ones as I usually just sampled stuff off Youtube and didn't find it interesting. Not sure if this fits with the theme of the thread, but one of my favorite albums from last year is Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats - Blood Lust. This is old school doom/stoner metal. Just a warning they pressed the CD and vinyl in extremely limited quantities so a lot of the CDs on Ebay are bootlegs. Some songs (I think every song on the album is on Youtube) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsLCIH_HEfE
  19. Marc- curious how your Lenco project is going
  20. The Zyx has a very low internal impedence (4 ohms on low output models), so that would factor in any SUT decission.
  21. Is there any new tech death that is good? The newish bands I heard sounded so derivative that I just stick to the stuff from the 80s and 90s
  22. Lots of rumors that HBO has renewed it for season 3 and 4.
