  1. Minor details...you CD3000 monster
  2. All of the above, though I don't quite know what you mean by depth. I'll just say that I think the L3000 sounds like a dynamic Omega 2 (so you'd more than likely prefer the O2), both have exceptional imaging, and are a tad soft in the highs. The Omega 2 probably has better (or different?) decay, both have very fast attack. The biggest difference being the Omega 2 has more depth to the soundstage, which I do miss with the L3000. But I have the K1000 when I really want that experience (or hopefully some speakers soon!11).
  3. Are you referring to it being fantastic as a headphone amp or speaker amp? Because the headphone out is already flawed with the high output impedence.
  4. At $4000 it had better not sound bad! For that much money I'd expect it to be amazing.
  5. Mmm, if I get the Duos I'm almost certain I'll dew eat up with the Wavelength amps.
  6. I wouldn't call the regular Lambda entry level (by that definition wouldn't all vintage be entry level save for the Sigma/Gamma Pro/Omega-1?), it's a damn good headphone IMO better than the SR-404 and Lambda Pro.
  7. I'm not sure if they're still the best but I really like Tayo Yuden, and they're not too expensive: http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-cd-r-media-cdr-media.html I use the white inkjet discs (I find some computer drives have an easier time reading the white label opposed to the silver). Verbatim AZO-Blue are supposed to be really good as well. I have a few of these discs that are at least 6-7 years old that all read fine.
  8. You bastard I could have guessed this one, it was only a matter of time
  9. The crisp text/display on the 89 was so tite when it came out
  10. Your setup looks good (the one in regular lighting, not a big fan of the LEDs), I definitely need to get a spider rack.
  11. One of my less proud moments was pushing PSP/PRP plans on people when I worked there *shudder* I guess the PRP was alright since it was a replacement and if it broke in the extended warranty period they just gave you another one or something of equal value. The PSP was always sort of shady, and probably depended more on who the customer service manager was if something was to get done. All of those cocksuckers cared way too much about their damn numbers.
  12. Hmm, the masterings on your W German discs might be different from the original USA releases then. ie Man Who Sold the World: R.C.A PD84654 R.C.A PCD1-4816 (USA) But Space Oddity: R.C.A PD84813. R.C.A PCD1-4813 (USA) I guess I'll ask over at Hoffman to clear up any confusion. Do you mind posting the catalog numbers for your discs?
  13. I only own the Ryko for Ziggy Stardust and only have the EMI (double disc) to compare it to (right now, I doubt my regular CD is an RCA). But I'll listen to it again and see if I can find some specific tracks. I might grab the Rykos of Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs just for the bonus tracks. I'm listening to the original RCA Germany of Hunky Dory (PD84623) and granted it's only MP3 V0 it sounds absolutely fantastic, a tad rolled off up top; but in no way dark.
  14. If GZA posts on this forum that's totally freakin sweet! (who is the other guy?) You Kanye listening Jay
  15. Kanye West doesn't like black people
  16. In Canada? Shenanigans Happy birthday late birthday man, sorry no one brought the 50s back \
  17. You know all that leaves is....Nanoha to post DSLR pics of his W11jpn, which were promised a few moons ago
  18. Cool just found the original thread, I assume your RCA discs are US versions (would make finding them infinitely easier)?
  19. Ah I think I remember you getting a bunch for cheap I'm definitely going to try and find these discs
  20. Alright, I was hoping for digital only versions, but which vinyl pressings?
