  3. Spent some quality time with my O2 Mk1s this evening. I've been listening to the O1 non-stop since I got the KGSS. O2s still don't suck
  4. I have some normal bias Sigmas on the way from Japan, can't wait to hear them
  5. Wail: The Life of Bud Powell: http://www.amazon.com/Wail-The-Life-Powell-ebook/dp/B0079NR9IC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336335622&sr=8-1 Exceptional. Best biography of Powell I've read. Modernist Cuisine http://www.amazon.com/Modernist-Cuisine-The-Science-Cooking/dp/0982761007/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336335691&sr=1-1 about 2/3 through book 1
  6. x2 also have some caps I need and waiting for the next 20% off sale. How much do they charge for shipping to the US for small < 1 lb orders via the cheapest air mail?
  7. Anyone here have both the JH-13 pro and UERM?
  8. Started HBO series Oz. Good stuff
  9. Any suggestions for a reliable vendor for SSM2210 duals (PDIP preferred, but SOIC will work)? Found
  10. More than I'd like to spend I think I will be going Ayre unless anyone has any other suggestions in the ~ $1500 range.
  11. Anyone have suggestions for a phono-stage with a true balanced output? I'm considering either XOno or Ayre PX-5 right now, but leaning more towards the Ayre since I found the Ono a touch on the dry side in my system.
  12. I'm in for a short kit when you guys are ready to go
  13. Happy birthday KG!

Damn DLPs in 2012. Amazon give us a sale on some DVD players and component cables too
  15. Wow Youtube wants my cell phone number to upload videos longer than 15 minutes, umm no Guess I have a lot of splitting ahead of me.
  16. Really enjoyed the NIN covers, thanks for sharing. Many of them translate so well to piano
  17. I hope to be adding more to the list. I will be uploading a few I grabbed off KG to Youtube (inc one of Sonny Rollins) Blue Note Records doc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrHldDh74dI Documentary on Cecil Taylor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sfiN9tvcbM
  18. Steven Wilson/Mikael Akerfeldt's collaboration project Storm Corrosion has leaked. It's different from Grace For Drowning and Heritage. It's more of an ambient album with progressive rock elements. I've listened to it twice and I think it's damn good (though I think I slightly favor Grace For Drowning). I can make certain comparisons to Scott Walker's Tilt and The Drift, though it's not as dark as either of those. Steven Wilson has said there was essentially no mastering stage. What you hear in the mix is the final album. Also there is NO compression at all. And it shows, even on the crappy transcoded MP3 it has classical music type dynamics. Hoping they do a tour and stop in Bahston
  19. I'm not gonna mess with them. Like I said in the previous page I had screwed up the polarity when I rewired the system after moving it.
  20. Those two do get along
  21. I did a Google search when he told me exactly what it is. The wiki article didn't exactly answer the second question, which was regarding where to purchase similar porosity. Pretty pictures though!
  22. rofl I had the speaker connections going into my EL34 integrated hooked up wrong so the polarity was all wacky with the Lambdas. They sound much better now. Thanks for the wool tips Birgir
  23. Any suggestions for a source with similar porosity to the original? Did a shootout yesterday and they did not fair as well as my HD600/Equinox Though I think I am just spoiled by O2/SR-Omega and my fondness for them the last time I owned them was when I didn't have any Omega.
