I'd definitely like to see how the beta is as a preamp. From what I've read an active preamp will work best with the SET power amps.

That's freakin' tight (I'm sad I paid for the RK27 ), how reliable are they? Not going balanced with the amp because I don't want to recable my babies.

Read up on the Cary 300SEI My K1000 is using a stock cable. His 300B monoblocks and my K1000 was the best headphone system I've ever heard, recabling them never even crossed my mind.

I agree. Seagate has a 5 year warranty. Not sure if any of the others bumped up their warranties to match them.

The B22 will be an integrated amp (with nice headphone amp ) When I get the blocks I'd like a pre with a remote control.

I'm a believer in the magic of good 300B amps. With my friend's monoblocks it made my Melos/Pass Labs/K1000 setup look like child's play.

I do appreciate it slwiser, but nothing beats paying nothing to use my B22

I'm going to use the Beetah twenty twos speaker outs with the Duos in the in term. Thanks for all the feedback guys, but I realized an in between amp would drive me crazy and it will be all that much sweeter when I get those 300B amps. And I might get a chance to hear the B22 with some Duos, depending on when it's finished. e: I still need a preamp (preferrably with remote, laziness ftw)

No because he made the right choice Exceptional speakers kill even the best headphone setup (IMO). edit: at least with my M^3 I could never be fully satisfied with the bass on either of my K340s, which led me to the L3000. Which sounds more real to me for most of the music I listen to.
