Earl I definitely agree with you. I would take a Senn 580/600/650 and RS-1 over the Edition 9; which sounded incredibly artificial to me. Lots of bass, highs and very poor midrange.

I mean the device that actually controls the volume (inside the amp), from the display it looks like a 100 position stepper. And if it's a proprietary SinglePower controller. It's a great looking unit.

They certainly look nice from Absorbine_Sr's pictures. I'd just be worried about what would happen if they broke, I don't know of many Chinese companies that have great built quality and customer service I understand Fang is a great guy but the Yuin stuff is much cheaper than a $1000+ product.
