  1. Very nice Is that your daughter in the 4th pic? She has gotten so big
  2. Bright Moments: The Life and Legacy of Rahsaan Roland Kirk
  3. This is a trick I learned on the Pink Fish Media forum, but I assumed Ric didn't do this "mod". If you apply some force to the black piece that holds the counterweight it will give, and you can rotate it left and right to adjust azimuth. Similar to how the VPI JMW tonearms do it. My cart's azimuth is electrically aligned at the neutral position so I have not tried this.
  4. How did you adjust azimuth on the AceSpace? I thought the only way is to add spacers to the headshell.

Not a fan of Monoprice XLR cables. Their XLR connectors have some thick paint (appears powder coated) applied to them. One cable barely fit in my male and female Neutrik panel mount. On another cable I had to shave off the paint on both the male and female connector to fit. I don't see why they don't just leave them bare, it would save them money too.
  6. Happy birthday Chris!
  7. I like Stax transformers for cheapo rigs like for my normal bias Lambdas, I am 100% with you.
  8. What sort of power supply are we talking for the ESX, and does it use 4x EL34 on the output?
  9. Will do. I always assumed even the best ones would only keep stuff hot for a few hours.
  10. Both of this months roasters choice are in their 4 pack. Is the roasters choice a darker roast? Though I do go through beans with the Aero a lot faster I am still only going through about 3/4-1 lb a month. Probably be twice that if I made coffee to take to work. But microwaving coffee is not good.
  11. Those of you buying from Old Bisbee what are your favorites for American coffee? I have bought 4 pack varieties the two times I ordered, unfortunately missing out on Mysore Nuggets. So far my favorite of those is Guatemalan Palo Alto Azul. Really rich and smooth, but with just the right amount of acid for me.
  12. Looked at vilt's website, he produces some exceptional stuff!
  13. Didn't know where else to post this, but RIP PCM1704 http://www.ti.com/product/pcm1704
  14. Agreed I still like Grace more. Seeing that entire album played live was something else. Steven Wilson also released a live CD of Grace For Drowning taken from various shows, it's OOP now, but up at the usual joints. From Storm Corrosion album, my favorite tracks are Storm Corrosion and Ljudet Innan.
  15. Have you had a chance to hear it? I'm glad to finally be able to listen to a non-transcoded MP3s. I've grown to appreciate it even more now, there is a lot of subtlety to the album. And the vinyl sounds great.
  16. Is this on the onboard version as well?
  17. Is the Egmont schematic up somewhere? Even the BATE comes out to more than I'd want to spend with the regulated power supply. This is pretty much something to listen to during my lunch break then maybe a few minutes at the end of the day finishing up paperwork.... at work
  18. Cheap is good I was thinking about building a TubeSE with 307a to power my SR-Lambda and transformer box, but a dedicated stat amp is even better
  19. Same as post 96. Though I'd see about squeezing in an Assemblage DAC2 or Transdac instead of the Denon.
