Power cables don't do anything to the sound. Try a double blind test and see if you can pick them out from whatever you were using before this.

Because I almost always listen to the SR-007 MK1. And I've been waiting for the Amphenol connector so I could try it with the Stax amp.

Have you considered getting a hearing test with an audiologist? If you have insurance they might cover it.

Jesus try adding + 20 dB EQ from 12000 Hz up I thought the SR-404 (same driver as SR-303, different cable) was damn bright with the upper mid peak adding to that. Maybe you just like horribly, horribly bright headphones
