I've been messing around with the dampening in the HP-1 and these headphones are really growing on me. They sound killer on kraut rock, and have this ability for the soundstage to sort of disappear almost as well as the SR-007 MK1. I was really set on going solid state for an ortho amp, but I think I might stick with tubes...
