I've been banned from HF's Stax thread for making fun of edstrelow's and richard51's dynamat modding exploits. The thread has been cleaned up more than somewhat. Imagine using dynamat resulting in changing the performance of a solid state amp enough for chalk and cheese difference, and you get the idea of what was being posted.

Variation of performance between different sets, perhaps..? Seems like possibly Audeze has a good handle on this phenomenon. LCD-3 in particular..... Production variation must be a real pain to handle.

I tried to drive my KGSSHV once, but I found the lack of a steering wheel or gearbox very disconcerting........ Sitting on heatsinks in mid-summer is also not to be recommended.........
