  1. The serial number is the one on the top right hand of the pic under one of the arches it's a 71XXX number next to the CE sticker,
  2. I wonder how little they can produce a "Starving Student" for.? The Altoids tin would be the most expensive component. But I guess they could run up their own tin. They certainly wouldn't cost a "mint"........
  3. That phase splitter sounds like an over-engineered underachiever...... Needs a judicious application of Occam's razor......
  4. Perhaps, Cavalli Audio should have a name change to Incendiary Acoustics....... Do ya think I should pitch it to him over on the other site..... I fear thay may will get me banned over there before I reach 9000 posts........
  5. I'd be looking at the meaning of lifetime.... Cavalli could mean the life of the unit, as in "If it dies, so does the warranty." Zimple....
  6. I tried to cryo my ears, but I got a cold reception from the people who do it. So, I'm going with having my ear canals quantum tunnelled to cut out the different propagation delays at varying frequencies..... This is akin to reducing the jitter in your DAC, but a much better high tech solution....... It also helps eliminate the Josephson Junction noise in your synapses and the sound of quantum foam.
  7. Do you think we should go for a move back to germanium transistors? I mean, if you want distortion in your amp, you want it to sound good. (Let's hope Cavalli doesn't find out about 'em) https://robertkeeley.com/2013/09/germanium-transistors/
  8. In Australia, we have bunyips..... so, there...... Stax Rulez...
  9. Happy bathday, Justin.
  10. How about a lustrous Cobalt knob..? ... and it only has a hardness of 5.
  11. You mean... (gasp) England play like italy..?
  12. Were they wearing Stax headphones....?
  13. Go Plutonium, or go home. Think of it as doubling up as a night light. Gotta love atomic power....
  14. Think about it, if Cavalli worked for Schiit, and Cavalli means horse...... Well, you make the connection.... (With sincere apologies to Jason Stoddard & Mike Moffat, and all the other denizens of Schiit Audio).....
  15. Note, John, he has 2 (count 'em) sockets....
  16. Perhaps a set of bionic ears is indicated...... Or, perhaps a transplant from a cephalopod... When you're deaf, everything sounds bettah...... Or, best of all, don't insult you hearing by listening to anything with a Cavalli product....
  17. Not excactly Nelson Pass, is it..? Perhaps it wuz designed by Di Arrhoea....
  18. tetchy or kvetchy - the result will still be the same... Some like it hot...
  19. Wot...? Warranty: 5 years parts & labor, digital circuits; 20 years, analog circuits.
  20. Maybe they sould give them away.. wait... maybe Cavalli should give it away....
  21. It's good to see that the Italian Olympic Diving Team lost to Ireland.
  22. This may indicate that their distortion analyser could be defective, or perhaps analog and not switched on....
  23. Repear three times before retiring at night ( libations are optional) YGGDRASIL iz KING, YGGDRASIL iz EMPEROR, YGGDRASIL iz da GREATEST.
  24. .... and here I thought the laws of nature could be circumvented with advanced technology - they do it in every episode of Star Trek. Well, as long as there is only one defiance/negation per episode, otherwise it comes out like Flying High. (Leslie Nielson, you scientist)....
  25. Do they grow it in a tub of yoghurt...? It's probably the closest some wearers would get to some culture....! Could be lighter, but I doubt it would be more rigid than Beryllium....
