I don't know what op amps they use for I/V conversion, but they do sell AD825's on their website
You would have to ask them why they do what they do...
Talking to RAM on the phone, the guy let on that they put in a buf634 between the dac and the transformer. You don't see that info on the websiite though...
They also use opamps for the I/V conversion...
Billy,
Thanks for the input.
Life is so busy its hard to do everything I could, or should...and I fail miserably sometimes.
Source upgrade is next, I think...
Speakers will be down the line quite a ways now.
Cheers,
Pete
Well,
After a moment of weakness in my resolve not to spend money...
I went ahead and got the Paradigm Ref Studio 100s off of Agon.
I heard them through a NAD master series pre amp (I think) and amp and they were magical.
Very analog sounding on the CDs, but detailed. Superb imaging, they just sounded right.
I'll post pics with them bedded down and impressions later
I am about to pull the trigger on these paradigm reference studio 100 v.3
Should I do it? Any suggestions for something different in the $1500 price range?
Pete
