  1. either file the pins a bit, or heat up the pins one at a time and push into the board. really should be flush.
  2. fixed in the next production run.
  3. panel bushing for the front panel. look at the original diy pictures.
  4. board is rk50 or dact. both work with a .25 inch coupler
  5. ksa5 was produced with both power supplies.
  6. its dc coupled where it counts. the ac coupled part is very high and constant impedance. nothing wrong with open architecture. as long as there are no kids or pets around
  7. heavily anodized. no color changing here...
  8. custom casting of vertical heatsink that size brutally expensive. and while it is more efficient, it is not not that much more efficient.
  9. dual transistor version http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/kgst2.jpg

    cosmos

remake of cosmos on fox sunday nights produced by Seth McFarlane staring Neil deGrasse Tyson promises to be 13 episodes of pure eye candy
  11. prototype drives O2's very nicely.
  12. I have the high end kitchenaid which worked great for 1 year, then one of the hose clamps broke and it dumped water all over the floor. At least the fix was quick and it has worked perfect ever since. Ultra quiet, and ultra low power, different kind of heating element to dry the dishes and a special motor that grinds the food into dust. Takes about 2 hours to wash dishes. Filled with electronic stuff. Probably would not buy it again, kind of expensive at about $1400... but as long as it continues to work...
  13. bigger ssd's offer faster longer term performance. replace both drives with a single 512gb samsung ssd. major performance difference. and 8gb or more ram anything more than 4gb of ram requires 64 bit operating system
  14. as long as the transformer has windings suitable for 400v isolation sure. 10m90s as current source, very popular with the stax mafia (heat sinks obviously required) output tube heaters can float or can be tied to -400 voltage mode for the input tubes.
  15. needs to be 1kv
  16. but that actually would work other than it divides by 1000 so you have to put it on the millivolt range. and you need to keep it away from steve
  17. correct data sheet http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/2sa970.pdf safe to measure the voltages at the stax socket. but the bias will be the wrong voltage unless you have a very high impedance voltmeter.
  18. nah, 220 volt version of firestarter (power cord on clip leads)
  19. the crossed resistors for sure. not sure what the other resistor is. Otherwise the circuit is identical.
  20. Very painful to watch. sure hope the factory across the street is built with thicker reinforced concrete... why the museum was built this crappy, who knows. just a slab of concrete holding probably 50 thousand pounds of irreplaceable cars under a glass dome that probably was not safe either. Kinda stupid. They should be able to retrieve and repair at least 6 of the 8 cars.
  21. in unbalanced mode that is going to be .000098 watts. not going to hurt even the most sensitive of iems. Which you really should not plug into this thing anyway. In balanced mode its zero anyway.
  22. i don't see a problem. unless you want to spend a week matching parts... this is what the servo is for.
