My parents just got a generator put in at their place in East Hampton this summer. They're very happy now.

I love me some electricity.

Checking in gang. My building and apartment are ok. Unbelievably, we have power and never lost it whereas most of the rest of downtown is out. I expect power to be dicey though as the transformers make trouble. Elevators are out as a precaution. Battery Park City is amazingly intact thank god. Little Monkey and i went out to have a catch this afternoon. Only problems right now are no fios so no internet, tv, or land line. And cell service is really spotty on both att and vzw.

Power out below 39th Street, except somehow Battery Park City. It looks like from what I can tell so far that the water is sweeping through BPC (not good) to even lower areas internally. Somehow that may be advantageous to my building. We'll see. Upper East Side unaffected. Caviar is fine.

I think the 13" rMBP or 13" MBA along with the standalone screen could be in my future.

Pretty sure I am now in the market for an rMBP. Not impressed with the iMac revision.

Do you actually have to use the gas and brake pedals in that thing? EDIT: I got to ride in Naaman's 335d at RMAF before the accident. Seriously awesome car.

What's the status on the quality control/issues with the JH3A?

Yup. I love using the GS3 as a hotspot.

They sounded pretty different to me. But that could easily be placebo. And I also rather stupidly didn't pay attention to the amps.

Walked with my mom and my company in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Central Park. Beautiful day and a great cause. And it was inspiring to see so many survivors. My mom is doing great, too. I'm very proud of her.

It is highly probable then that I heard you say that and am now using it as my own. I'm good at that.

Not my squeegee on an absolutely clear window was much better received...

I wish I had taped Tyll describing how "juicy" the JH13s sound to Jerry Harvey. I'm pretty sure Jerry has seen and heard it all in his career, but "juicy" still got a little bit of a "wtf?" face from Jerry. It was awesome.
