Nah honestly Abit boards have been pretty shitty the last 2 years or so and they've been hemorrhaging money due to that and increased competition. So it's not a huge surprise that they are leaving the market.

You won't be using Abit mobo's any longer seeing as they are getting out of the business. I've had extremely good luck with Gigabyte motherboards the past few years and plan to continue using them exclusively. So what I did today, had a few meetings, fixed a few servers and then spent 45min on the phone with Verizon getting them to fix my bill, again. On the plus side I did get my fios upgraded from 15/2 to 20/5.

The Stello DA100 Signature looks like a good option as well.

Tyler Acoustic - Pro Dynamics You *might* be able to find some of these used close to your price range. They are extremely efficient though.

Actually if your interested in the Von Schweikert stuff take a look at Tyler Acoustics, uses the same drives for a hell of a lot less.

Legacy Audio stuff is also usually very efficient.

Not exactly efficient but these would be great.

I highly recommend these. You won't find anything better remotely close to that price.

I don't really see the point of yet another browser at this time but whatever. It being multi-threaded shouldn't be a huge surprise though, pretty much all software needs to start making that transition if it wants to keep up.

For monitors I doubt you'd find anything new as good as these for the price. If you don't mind buying used though there's tons of good speakers on audiogon. One of the tough things with demoing speakers is that they probably won't sound the same in your place as they do in the store. If you buy new make sure they have a good return policy.

That's typically just the nature of single drivers speakers in my experience.
