So far everything I've read says that the extend functionality of the express only works with other airports. Still trying to find out if that's the case for sure though.
Does anyone know of any 802.11n extenders/repeaters? Right now my access point is in the HT/Game room which is in the basement and adjacent to the garage. My bedroom is above the garage and coverage is pretty spotty.
The problem is the wall between the basement and the garage it's at least a foot thick solid concrete. Apparently the wireless doesn't like going through that.
So I'd like to get some sort of 802.11n extender/repeater/bridge that I could put on the first floor which would give a huge boost to the signal I'd get in my bedroom.
Does he have cable tv that connects to anything that's in the same chain as his audio rig? If so tell him to disconnect the cable and see what happens.
Also if he has a PS3 tell him to use a cheater plug on that, it's notorious for dumping a lot of noise back on the line.
There are already devices like that, and at much higher storage levels. They do cost a fortune though.

They don't list prices for a reason... if you have to ask....
They are hardly the first. The fusion-io stuff has been available for a while. Given it's more expensive it also doesn't need to use RAID 0 to hit it's performance numbers.

This was touched on briefly, the final five agreed to help the cylons create the skinjobs if they stopped the war with the humans. So it's fairly safe to assume that the 8 models were made shortly after the first cylon war.
There's actually a very simple answer to this, in the case of the m192 MKII. In between the MKI and MKII Northstar released a new CDP the Sapphire. The MKII uses the exact same dac and output section as the Sapphire. Seems pretty likely to me that it was mostly a cost savings move.
Good luck, there isn't going to be much in that price range that supports blu-ray. Your really asking quite a lot for that price range, 5.1 speakers + blu-ray + something to drive them. Hard to squeeze that under $1k and have it not sound horrible.
Yep it's a pretty nice server, quad core 2.8ghz cpu, 8 gigs of ram and two 500gig hd's in raid 1. Plenty of room for expanding the disk array which is usually the first bottleneck people run into with db-driven apps/sites.
Anyone else been watching Leverage? It's a really enjoyable fun show, I'm glad it's been picked up for a 2nd season. Tomorrows season finale should be amazing.
Doing just fine, the new server actually arrived and was installed on Friday. Still doing some of the initial configuration and then I'll schedule (and of course announce) a date/time when I'll move the site over. Should be very minimal downtime when it does happen.
