  1. It's really not that fast overall, compared to say Chrome, Safari 4 or Opera 10. But yeah if firefox 3 is your only comparison point then it's a ton faster.
  2. Been using it since the first beta came out. It's a substantial improvement over the snails pace of page loading that was firefox 3.
  3. there already is a vBulletin iphone app, it's called tapatalk. i've had a few users testing it out and the big complaint so far seems to be that it's slow. it's also not free.
  4. The Pre upgrades over the air automatically for free
  5. If he actually ends up selling it as a USB cable and calling it such without meeting the specs I smell a lawsuit. Oh and anyone that buys one of these deserve a visit to the
  6. fixed
  7. By the way looks like that $49 upgrade pricing is going to be good for those of you upgrading from XP as well.
  8. Another possibility assuming it's an LCD screen, make sure it's running at it's native resolution. If your running it a lower rez that could easily explain the fuzzy/blurry text.
  9. It looks like the amp and psu were done by completely different people. The PSU looks like a mess, the amp section actually looks fairly well organized. It's very perplexing
  10. You must not work with servers very often then . 1U chassis w/ single or dual quad core chips, can hit 90C fairly easily.
  11. Correct and for Intel's core2 lineup the max is a 100C and it won't even shut down automatically then, it'll try to stay on and just drop its speed till the point where the temps don't go past 100C.
  12. Agreed, too slow.
  13. Fan failure makes the most sense if those temps are correct. The CPU is def. throttling itself at that point...

    Palm Pre

I've come to really appreciate the way the Pre handles notifications, it's not intrusive at all and contains all the information you need to decide if its something you want to check out right away or ignore.
  15. haven't rebuilt the search index in a while, let me start that now, it could help.
  16. we already have one of those
  17. eh thats almost just as bogus, unless your using an anocheic chamber and have precise measurements as to how far away the mic is. plus spl #'s change completely depending on the room used. xmax doesn't .
  18. christ, why are you making such a big deal out of this? i was just using xmax as a parameter to make my point about displacement being key when it comes to subwoofers....
  19. ok fine as a general rule of thumb for a smaller drive to have more displacement than a bigger one it needs to have a higher x-max assuming all other things equal
  20. No shit, I'm aware of this, and just because they call it long-throw doesn't mean it actually is. Smaller drivers need to have a huge x-max to compete with bigger drivers. I'd almost guarantee that the SVS driver has a higher xmax than anything sunfire has ever used.
  21. Subwoofer Rule #1: There's no replacement for displacement. Unless that 10" pushes a serious amount of air, I wouldn't expect a ton of volume down in the low 20hz range. Even with the 1000W amp.
