    slow forum

  2. 1gig of ram is kinda pushing it for Vista, even if you turn off all the visual effects and basically make it look like XP.
  3. Time to just find an OEM copy of XP to buy and use that.
  4. You can call up Acer they should be willing to send you one for $10-$15 or so.
  5. There are two different URL's, for mobile use mobile.head-case.org. I just added it this morning.
  6. For iphone/itouch users there's also an app you can buy called Tapatalk. It's not free (I believe its $2.99) which sucks, but it's basically a native interface for vbulletin forums. I'm not going to current recommend it as the 2-3 people I have testing it complain about how slow it is and the current version doesn't support PM's. The developer has a new version that is supposedly much faster and supports PM's but they are stuck waiting for apple to approve it. If it does turn out to be much faster I'll start recommending it.
  7. Ok the original HD800 thread is absurdly long time to break out impressions into this thread.
  8. ok crappy mobile theme will be loaded automatically if you go here: http://mobile.head-case.org you can switch back the normal theme by clicking the "default style" link on the bottom
  9. stretch, should be back to normal, i'm working on an alternate idea.
  10. +1 for the lundahl iron
  11. death and personal injury are pretty unlikely but if there's something seriously wrong with the amp it could fry speakers pretty easily.
  12. I've had my HF-2's for a little while now and I must say I think they are pretty easily my favorite current production Grado's. I think the HF-2's have several key advantages over the rest of the line-up. They don't have the typical brightness/sharpness in the treble yet they still have very good extension. Also while many Grado's are renowned for their punchy bass most of them don't go very deep at all, with the HF-2 this is not the case. Their bass roll-off starts at a lower point and I think to some degree that gives them a little more impact.
  13. Or the Luxman just isn't resolving at all
  14. just looks like something that was an mpx3 that got upgraded to an extreme....
  15. I can't remember, but I'd e-mail audiocubes to see if it includes the elastics or not.
  16. that is one thing to consider, grado's aren't the most comfortable phones around and they aren't going to sound anything like your ety's.
  17. The Grado SR-60's are very good entry-level phones.

So just finished downloading/installing webOS 1.1. Few things to point out, Exchange support is now complete which is good news for enterprise users. Overall things do seem a little snappier so I think they did some optimization to the UI code. The biggest app/feature addition in my opinion is the NFL Mobile App.

Looks like iTunes sync is working again with the webOS 1.1 update.

  21. either way he's still a tool
  22. Yeah if anything I'd probably lean more towards the 6SE because its transformer coupled and I wouldn't need the pre-amp functionality of the WA2. I should really update my sig, my current phones are: HF-2, DX1000, 650 and hd800s on the way
  23. I haven't really kept up with the headphone amp market much as of late. I started taking a look around to see what tube amps are currently available and there really doesn't seem to be all that many. The Woo Audio stuff has always looked interesting to me as they seem to be very well built and priced pretty well. Does anyone have any thoughts or impressions on the WA2 or the WA6SE?
  24. I'm still wondering what the hell possessed you to order something from her?
