This seems to be the only interior shot they show on their website: With that many tubes on the inside how the hell doesn't this thing overheat/melt?

Tapatalk is now free and if you have an Android device there's a new Tapatalk 4 out. It's a separate install and will not overwrite Tapatalk 2: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapatalk.tapatalk4

Still having issues? I haven't heard any other reports and have been using it myself with no issues. There is a new Tapatalk 4 out that you might want to try.

We'll find out soon enough I have a quad on the way.

Use This Amazon Link thanks!

Did you try to install the Windows 7 drivers? If not you should, most Windows 7 drivers will work just fine with Windows 8.

I'd expect to see a new or updated Surface Pro sometime later this year. I imagine they want to get the Haswell chips in there to help the battery life.

What are some good places for DSD downloads? It doesn't look like HDtracks sells any.

Looks liked wyred4sound updated their website with the new dac already: http://www.wyred4sound.com/webapps/p/74030/117839/904731

In an attempt to get this thread back on track, here's my brief gear impressions: I think I liked Purk's bass heavy R-10's more than I recall liking other R-10's but their low-end response still isn't deep enough for my tastes. The "new" beyer dt 880 600ohm are better than the old beyer dt 880. The beyer T5p were surprisingly good but not $1400 good. I'd still take HE-500 and LCD-2 over them. The HE-400s are a far cry from the HE-500s and while I get that the HE-400s are inexpensive for planar's I'd take a pair of Senn 650s over them without question. Purk had a wyred4sound dac and a chinese dac (forget the name but it had the same sabre dac chip as the w4s dac): The wyred4sound dac was easily the better of the two, far more controlled throughout the range. The chinese dac was top heavy and the treble was often offensive. Purk was also nice enough to bring the L3000's with him to the airport when he dropped me off so I could get a few minutes with them. I still really love the L3000's their sound always draws me in. The Headamp BHSE + Stax SR-009's is the best amp/headphone combination I've ever heard. Enough so that I'm going to sell everything I have and get that combo. Oh one more thing, the Stax 717 - why Stax makes some of the other crap they make instead of this is beyond me. It was surprisingly good with everything from the Lambda Pro's (I think that's what they were) to the SR-009's

Funny enough - there was a new tapatalk update released today. Just installed it - things seem ok now, let me know if you are still seeing any issues.

I'd been meaning to sell most of the stuff that I put up for sale today, just found some extra motivation at the meet. Going for a BHSE + 009 setup.

Happy B-Day! Enjoy the new BHSE!

Had a fantastic time, was great catching up w/ old friends and meeting new ones. Also thanks to Brent and Purk for rides from and to the airport.

New update for tapatalk installed - also enabled a serviced called Viglink about a week or so ago. It's a monetization tool - if it becomes a nuisance or doesn't generate much of anything it'll get turned off. Should have a fairly decent idea of whether or not it'll stick around by the end of next week.

My flight gets in around 3PM on Friday. Also earlier in thread I said I was flying out Monday, that's not correct I'm flying out Sunday evening at about 5PM.

Brent, I'm arriving on Friday and leaving on Monday.

Potentially one of the good things to come out of the next console generation - is the switch back to x86 based hardware. Should make developing for the consoles be much more in line with how developing for the PC currently is. Should lead to better "ports" if nothing else.
-
Along with today's update of the forum software I also installed an updated version of the server-side tapatalk code. We were running a couple releases behind so hopefully this fixes that issue.

Grahame that looks like good news, Comcast did the free speed upgrades for some of us on the East Coast last year and it sounds like they are rolling out the to the rest of the country now. When I first signed up I was on the Blast! plan which I think was 25 down 5 up. They raised it up to 50 down 10 up last year and as can be seen in the test below I do see higher than 50 down on occasion.

Happy to see Gonzaga be the first #1 seed to get beaten.
