  1. I watched The Illusionist tonight, pretty good movie and Jessica Biel is really really hot.
  2. I believe they are part of the supposed "bass-light" ones but I don't remember for sure. I actually think they were as bright as the CD3000, though my biggest problem with the R10's treble was sibilance. I actually like the Qualia better so far, they have a really nice soundstage its huge but remains remarkably cohesive and they have really precise imaging. The midrange is a bit sterile though, and while they have nice tight bass it's nowhere near as deep or impactful as the L3000s is.
  3. Either those L3000s were broken or those R10 are the one super magical pair that actually sounds good.
  4. I borrowed a pair of R10 for a couple months and was totally unimpressed by them. Lacking bass response (especially compared to the L3000) and a treble that can be absolutely shrill and brutal. The midrange is really nice as is the soundstage, though I still think the soundstage has a real artificial sound to it. I think if you'd like them or not depends a ton on what your looking for out of headphones.
  5. It's looked better for them since the day they made it. I know Vick supposedly has all the physical skills required to "revolutionize" the QB position. But he still can't read a defense worth a damn.
  6. At the meet Justin mentioned the price will potentially be $500 for the amp/dac. He's also planning to offer just the amp and that would be $300. Of course these are subject to change
  7. Thanks to Stephen for organizing the meet and scoping out the great location. Admittedly I didn't listen to a whole lot but heres a brief rundown on what I did listen to: Denon D5000 - Nice phones pretty well balanced no real glaring faults that I could hear. Much better than the W5000 or the crap-o-technica as we were calling them . Balanced Beta22 - Very very nice amp, if I ever get sick of tubes I'd get one of these in a heartbeat Headphile HF-1 - These were grawk's and I was actually pleasantly surprised by these. Better than the Rs-1's in pretty much every way. Headamp protoype dac/amp - Justin has a real winner on his hands here Balanced Supra Extreme - This was a very good amp and sounded nice with the woodied ps-1's that were paired with it. The best part of the even though was finally meeting some of my fellow head-casers that I've known for quite awhile online. Oh and thanks Alex for letting me borrow the Qualia's
  8. Sorry for the downtime today guys. I'll explain the reasoning and what was done later today.
  9. Back to this threads regularly scheduled purpose:
  10. Your being a bit too general it's a L3000 party not an AT party
  11. Thats why I love them, most of my music just sounds "right" with the L3000
  12. Yeah I get music direct, audio advisor, mapleshade and I think one more.
  13. Also check out newegg their prices are usually very good and their service is great.
  14. Thats why it's a good idea to check the header info on e-mails like that.
  15. Ok this one is my comcast cable at home. My previous post was from a 100mbit server that I run .
  16. The only thing you might have to pay is a brokerage fee if it's a Fedex or UPS shipment. With Fedex they'll just send you a bill a couple weeks later.
  17. Yeah this sucks I'm a huge fan of The Gathering as well.
  18. Well I think I'm the only one here thats actually done any business with GNSC and yes I think the mods they do on the Opus 21 are really good but that doesn't mean I'd take their word on anything else.
  19. Bleh bad choice w/ the B-52, it's just two Raptors strapped together and I'm not a fan of the Raptor at all.
  20. I like HP and Epson for general all around printing, but if you print a lot of photos I'd probably go with Canon. Avoid lexmark at all costs it's utter junk.
  21. L3000 but they don't isolate a ton. If you want to make sure you block out all noise check out some of the high end IEM's.
  22. It's actually not a touchscreen in the way your thinking about it. It uses a system of cameras (i think 9 of them) in this particular demo of the tech. Wouldn't worry too much about the monitor thing as I doubt we'll see tech like this trickle down to the consumer level for another 5-10 years at which point I'm sure there will be plenty of nice big HDTV's w/ wireless capabilities built in.
