  1. There are a few graphic images. You have been warned. Iraq Blog
  2. Bad power switch? Open it up, and check it out. If you ship it to me, I'll fix it. Just give me some time, I have a Beta on the bench now, then a CD player.
  3. I neither NEED one now, nor do I use Windows. In fact, that is the reason I am even considering a Mac: Lightroom. VMware for a winxp machine to use power photo tools just sucks. My only other option to use Lightroom and NOT use Windows, is Apple. While I would agree, for the case of waiting a month and getting something like a possible aluminum cae instead of the known to crack plastic, the wait would be worth it. Of course, this is all speculation at thise point. Based on the fact that I don't NEED the computer, I think it would be wise to wait. When the new one comes out, if I don't see the need to get the new one, the old one will still be there. Of course, I'd love to just buy it right now
  4. Ah that might make sense. Good sleuthing.
  5. But I'm still lost.
  6. Judging by the picture above the mantle, The Bushs.
  7. I think I'll continue to play the waiting game.
  8. My other hesitation with waiting for the new release, is buying a Rev. a on a product.
  9. I know they are speaking of a Macbook Touch, which doesn't interest me at all. Wreks: I realize these are indistinguishable, but I have had HORRIBLE luck with refurbs in the past (not necessarily apple), and for my piece of mind, $150 is well worth it.
  10. Right now, teh new price on Amazon for the blackbook is $100 more than the current refurb they have on the site. Even with an insider discount, its only $150 more. Well worth the added cost, IMO.
  11. Do they really give that much of a discount on an old one? I'm also of the opinion that I'd rather spend $200ish more to get a brand new one, than a refurb.
  12. According to MacRumors, it is a neutral time to buy a macbook. That said, with the release of Montevino last week, we can expect a macbook refresh relatively soon. I'm not really looking for answers here, but more of opinions: should I just grab a penryn macbook? Is it really worth the wait?
  13. I have been entertaining the idea of building another VanTOTL: Revisited.

  15. They are custom, so I'd sure hope so. I'm patiently awaiting Vicki's impressions
  16. That would be up to the manufacturer, but planned obsolescence isn't a new idea
  17. That was pretty funny.

  20. Thanks guys. I am enrolled for CAD Algorithms next semester, and we go on from there. I start some work this friday for the professor, and meet every friday thereafter with him. I'm glad that I get to stay in the same department. My B.S. is in Computer Engineering, but my Masters and Ph.D will be in Electrical Engineering. Luckily it's all the same department at my school, so I get to deal with the same people. They are great! Today, I got my bike back to running 100%, and changed the oil as well. Now it pulls hard to 13k RPM.
  21. I'm using firefox 2.0 and it worked fine for me. Great site, Indra. I think you already know I'm a fan of your work
