  3. Amazon. Cheaper than the student discount right now. Plus another combo deal I finaggled
  4. That is the only reported difference. purk, if you are in the market, I would see if you can demo the 530 and the triple.fi. It will come down to preference, but IMO, the triple.fi is a much better IEM. The shure has no high end to speak of. A severe roll-off to my ears.
  5. Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio - View Single Post - E500 and SE530 'Absolutely Identical'... Really?
  6. I have read multiple replies from Shure reps who have all claimed they are the same IEM. Don't want to take my word for it, be my guest. Buy them both and let us know.
  7. Drove home, ate lunch, resumed soldering. Deepak: I'm making good progress
  8. Too late. I pulled the plug on a 2.4Ghz, 200GB, 2GB RAM Pro. I also ordered 4GB or crucial ram, Adobe lightroom, and a belkin sleeve. Should arrive on Wednesday. The current talk of the new price drop will be about $100. I pulled the whole package for 2000, including lightroom, ram and sleeve. I can't complain
  9. They are the same IEM, with the exception of the new modular cable.

  11. Let me know if you need a hand prototyping EDIT: Also, you are listenign at Posty levels (yes I do realize the pot is upside down )
  12. I would have settled for a renaming of
  13. HAY!
  14. I'm heavily leaning that way, as well.
  15. I already addressed this, Chris. I am willing to spend the gobs of extra money to avoid using Windows. Its that cut and dry. I will not use windows, and the only other way to use Lightroom is the MacOS. I have tried alternative programs, and nothing holds a candle, IMO. I won't go into why I refuse to use windows, as this debate will just rage on. Its easiest to leave it at this: my preference is to never use windows. There is no talking me into it, the same way I do not force my own opinions about computing on others. Use what works for you While is does cost a premium to use Mac products, I may as well give it a shot before I sit here and keep saying, "but mac is so expensive, for less money, you can get x better computer..." I can afford the mac, so I'll give them a fair shot. If I find that it doesn't serve its price, then I won't buy another Dan, I have a 19" Samsung, so I plan on using that with whichever one I decide on.
  16. I can understand that, but I don't feel I rank the portability very high in my list of wants. I mean, sure I'd like it a bit more portable than the 17" version, but the Macbook pro won't be much larger than my Lenovo, which is just fine for portability's sake.
  17. News to me.
  18. whatr teh fcufuk. No tmie ot edti psosots.
  19. That blog proved to be fake?
  20. I expect good comparisons between the UE's.. Mike, would you also give a brief impression of the UE's vs your Freqs?
  21. Last night my friend brought up a really good point IMO: Right now on Amazon, there is about a $300 price difference between the Blackbook, and the 15" 2.4/220GB/2GB MacbookPro. For $300 I would get: + Larger screen with better resolution + Aluminum Case + Dedicated Video Card + Dual-link (Full) DVI out - 50GB less HD space - heavier - lower battery life - less portable I think for $300 it is a good idea, if just for the video card alone. Anyone agree/disagree/in love with postjack?
