Sometimes it's good to push ones boundaries or to push the boundaries of others. Amongst true friends I have found that is how you change and learn for the better. The first time anyone ever came out to me, and my first real interaction with someone who was gay, I was a sophomore in high school, on a choir retreat with my chamber singers group. There were two senior guys I was sharing a room with, they were amazing musicians and I looked up to them as role models and they were just great guys to sing with. We were getting ready for bed and having some deep conversations, but then they came out to me and told me they were gay. I was very silent and ended up leaving the room to hang out with others in the common area as I became very uncomfortable. I started thinking and realized what truly happened, that these guys trusted me with something very special. And that I should appreciate it, as well as understand the sexual orientation did not change my view of them as awesome role models and guys to hang out and sing with. I went back into the room and apologized, and they said they understood, they were hesitant to tell me at first because the normal group of friends I hung out with were the type that wouldn't be so open and affirming, but felt like they could trust me, and I am glad they did, as I am truly a better person because of it.

Deepak your correct it would be the lowest comcast. AT&T uverse just got offered in our area but it is essentially same price and channels. I am assuming that is 3 Mbps down and something much lower for up
-
So I am looking at my comcast bill and realize they are kind of killing me and I am totally overpaying for cable and internet. I succeeded in downgrading cable to something that I will actually use. My current internet through comcast is the xfinity Internet at 12 Mbps and they offer that "power boost" stuff. My wife and I are really just internet surfers and email users. Obviously 90% of my time is spent here. No music or video or crazy downloading, we really don't watch tv or movies online or streaming. In fact I barely even hit up the YouTube but do occasionally. I can down grade to 3 Mbps for much cheaper but want to know how that would be.

No 3a. Though it was fantastic and to my ears noticeably better than just the 13's, I plan on using them portably and occasionally with just an iPod or iPad. Muddy water blue, translucent, with the jh audio flying logo and label. I am a sucker for their branding.
-
Another one bites the dust. Just placed order for 13's. Yeah I am a bit behind the boat, but better late than never. You guys suck
-
It's only like what, $60 for a liter of crap vodka?
-
Yeah I believe it's like $50. Not sure about the logistics, you just send them a digital file I would imagine. I like the jh audio logo, the flying woman I think they call it, but a nice d-_-b would be pretty hip, albeit a little fanboyish.

Actually it was Brittany that was the stingy one. Only two jh16's? Shovel time sahn

Wow, all I can say is that I am personally honored that you feel that comfortable with us to come out, especially on a public forum. I applaud your courage and I know from personal experience it is not an easy thing to be able to come out. I don't mean to stereotype, but considering that I am literally a choir boy and have been a choir boy and musical theatre guy for many years now, I've made many friends that were gay and always appreciated it when they felt comfortable enough with me to come out, thank you. I was very happy to have hung out with you, and my wife and I really appreciated you covering breakfast (which I am sure beats a $25 hotel omelette any day). I am a Judy Garland and Billie Holiday fan myself. Though regarding stereotypes one thing I learned is that it is good practice never to assume one's sexuality unless they specifically tell you or you have a comfortable relationship with that person where you know where they are at, though in the end sexual orientation should be considered as natural and acceptable as one's ethnic orgin and/or religion. I will also add that Illinois is one of the few states that does qualify sexual orientation as something that you cannot be fired for or denied employment, and now I understand some of your negative feelings towards Texas and why you seem to associate yourself still as an Alaskan. I just can't applaude you enough for your courage man. Being a choir teacher and involved with musical theatre I always fear about my students who are gay. I cannot fathom what they must go through having to hide or not feel comfortable being who they are in public. America still has a long way to go in terms of being an open and affirming society. Your post above also has solidified my wife and I's choice for a church, as we have been researching and going to many different churches to find one that is aligned with our views, and we found a beautiful UCC Church in our area that is open and affirming, which is very important to my wife and I.

I guess Jim won our bet on whether there would be a broken bottle. Damn I was so close.

I have the older 3G iPhone and just got off the phone with AT&T about early upgrading to a 3GS. She wasn't very helpful and said her system wasn't lea enough but felt I was early eligible to upgrade to a 3GS at their full eligibility price even though my upgrade date is still set for 2/17

Just found out you can listen to your iPod stuff on iPad in the background while checking email and doing other stuff. I am not so mad anymore about no multitasking.

The es5's were very nice. There might have been a slight edginess in the highs but I did think the mids on down were solid, with nice bass punch. There universal version serendipitously fit very well for me.

X2. The perfect browser, looks...perfect.

Pj, thanks for coming out bro. I actually preferred the jh13's as the 16's were a bit to bassy. But both excel in having that richness and ability to transport you to somewhere I have no idea where. The 13's just do it a little more linear for me, but the 16's do put you right in the club and have more bass and kick fo sho. Howver the 16 w he 3a trumps it all as the thing had crazy soundstage and pinpoint imaging which was frightening, and the bass punched you in the chest. Duggeh and I agreed that the mids may have had a suck out or recessed somewhere and weren't as rich to me as the normal 13 or 16 but I believe Jerry is still tweaking the 3a. It is going to be a winner and with just a transport you have a killer rig.
