  1. To my favorite crack I mean gear dealer. H to the appy, b to the irthday.
  2. Time to bitch in a review srajan style!!!!
  3. LOL. I still think Nordost should remain #1 on your hit list.
  4. I believe so, there might be a couple of other tweaks thrown in there as well. But you are basically dealing with a tube hybrid that uses a chip buffer. With cross feed.
  5. Probably not. You could count on one hand the number of people that own an eartube, minus those that have even heard one. Not saying there is anything wrong but it never really caught on.
  6. IPeng is waaaaaaayyyyyy better than the stock squeezebox app and was worth the $
  7. Manvox!!! Happy birthday!
  8. Right...you know you were using the wrong case and it fell out and dented itself on a corner. Yup.
  9. When he replace and upgraded mine when it was still $300 ish he actually includes your old drivers when he ships them back.
  10. I am fearful of the cost. A man on his last days wanting to tweak? Scary combination.
  11. Gotta give it to him, still rocking the business at 90. http://joegradosig.com/index.html
  12. I thought the very nature of orthos makes back-EMF a non issue.
  13. Yeah that is definitely a resonance issue (which by the way my vocal tech class today we learned all about resonance and vowel color and stuff). Sounds bad. Johns set i don't think I hear that. There is a sense of spaciousness to the sound but i wouldn't say it's overly resonant.
  14. Currently using the free squeezebox iPad app. It's ok, very barebones, but at times it gets stuck, otherwise it's fine. What does ioeng or squeeezepad offer over the free app?
  15. Facebook post - no more jh13/3a "By now, most of you have probably heard that JHAudio has decided not to offer the JH3A with the JH13. After much testing and tuning, Jerry has found that the JH16 circuit works best for optimal detail and accuracy out of the amp. The 13 circuit just didn't match up. When the bass knob is turned down, the 16 circuit is +2db of boost at 5oHz. (The passive 13 has a built in boost of 6dB at 50Hz.) With the amp + 16 combination, you have the ability to have the lows much lower than the 13 and much higher than the 16. This circuit is accurate to 23k, so everyone should be able to set the bass to their preference."
  16. Back on topic. I went ahead and ordered a balanced pair and a digital coaxial from BJC. Now Jacob and I can be friends. Shelly, that is a good link, I remember seeing that in an old head case thread. Seems about the same thing as the BJC version but cheaper. I decided to go with the Belden which BJC offers as their standard recommendation.
  17. Well that makes sense especially from an evolutionary standpoint. I always attributed it to being simply an old wives tale. I remember a couple that were friends of mine were having difficulty having a baby, and they decided to see a fertility specialist. On the first meeting, my friends mentioned the doctor asked them about any fellatious activity (the husband later told me "none"). They set up a check up appointment in a couple of months but it was not needed, they became pregnant within a month.
  18. I believe fellatio has been known, or at minimum there have been documented cases, where it actually has helped with fertilization.
  19. Great question. Honestly I have no idea. Actually, I currently have mogami from the pre to power amp, my current digital coaxial is monoprice, so I am going to copy you and go with blue jeans so we can be friends.
  20. So i probably need to pickup two more sets of balanced xlr cables and two digital coaxial cables. My gut says mono price, not sure if the price jump to blue jeans is worth it. Figured I would ask around here where people's go to place is for cables on the cheap.
  21. Glad you enjoyed reading it. The lcd2 is pretty killer on the BA. The bass is pretty godly and the AC heating just opens up the soundstage more than I have heard in prior DHT outputs with more traditional DC heating. I have liked the sound of normal AC on the filaments but the hum can get obnoxious and even with trim pots Hum is still evident. The BA though is dead silent blackground.
