and create near perfect balance in the headphone universe.
-
that totally sucks. they also just delete threads left and right super up-tight over there. head-case rocks!
-
base on the first registration date, yesterday.
-
in the year 2010 when head-case grows into a behemoth, members will wish, beg and bitch for a custom title, but edipis will be far too busy to accommodate the masses with such petty things. just be grateful he didn't ban you for your pestilent insolence and public raucous over a trivial matter you ungrateful swine. cower now and you might be shown mercy from thou who is merciful, powerful, and wise.
-
i happen to really like your custom title. it made me laugh and smile. it might even be a bit better if you don't like it especially if others do.
-
perhaps you should read the thread a bit closer... here is my reply to nate.... we all basically agree this sucks

sorry billy, but you are still so sorely mistaken it isn't even funny. obviously you know well enough the huge raffle goodies i have put together plus the hundreds of dollars i have donated to head-fi as a result of the raffles. if anything ray hurt the meet by lowering attendance, and indirectly head-fi, but that's ray's burden. i have not seen other meets besides the national even compare to the items in the so cal raffles . i would have liked to have ray put up another portable amp, but in the grand scheme more mot donated stuff for the second meet so it really didn't make a difference. in fact, ray told me at both meets i should keep money because jude doesn't need anymore. though, i didn't take his advice because that is not my style. also, the second raffle raised more money than the first even without ray. and yes out of the raffle proceeds i paid for weekend/special event insurance, studio cleaning, utilities, table rental, food and beverages, a nominal studio rental fee, and in fact during the second meet on sunday i used raffle proceeds to buy lunch for the twenty or so head-fiers and mot in attendance, plus many other things i recouped out of my pocket hosting the meet. though, i don't charge for my time or the "security" service i provided. gosh, billy petty... don't forget i even offer up the excess cash to head-fi (give me a break billy).

i knew you of all people could relate. in fact, i experienced it first hand.
-
no i didn't switch, remember those "oil stains" etc... i only provided facts, which you don't likey. oh the raffle, sure that's the "reason" ...ray was the only manufacturer not to make a denotation, which i believe had to do with something i posted about his products--sorry but no i am not that petty. in fact, ray made an extremely tacky public display when he bought $100 in raffle tickets right in front of everyone in attendance as only ray does in his loud, obnoxious, and showy manner. looky-looky i am generous to the community and supporting the meet... i suppose there might be something alluding to that fact, but it isn't anything i even think about as a pausible reason. in fact, i only thanked mot and others for what they did contributed as i have done in the past. i think i have clearly indicated my reasons such as but not limited to marketing schemes, build quality, value to performance ratio, ray's attitude when you return something or post something he doesn't like, etc... ray is paranoid.

all that billy can offer up is hearsay. regardless, i have nothing to hide. though, i am aware of the falsehoods ray has spewed behind my back. as most of us know, this is just part of ray's mo.
-
billy don't make this personal because it is not or conjure up bs since it could backfire. my experience with ray's products are just that my experiences as is my opinion. whatever halfbake bs ray sold you on realize is only half of the story... \ don't rush to judgement, even though you are a very good and loyal friend to ray.

is it samples or shambles i get confused about this one \ more apocalypto type false fables preached to his devoted foolers, i mean followers... upon receipt my rs audio products had the following problems right out of the box... craptor--excessive heat issue (122 degrees), p/s vibration issue (he has subsequently fixed these issues) hornet--loose jacks that cut out with the slightest movement (remember it's a portable amp), replacement jacks weren't much better (and then the thing completely died, ray to his credit fixed it promptly) other updates and products rushed to market... hornet-- (cap change, m and non m versions)... apache--shipped with see thru top chassis cover, then new opamps or what not... i am sure there are others as well... \ i have also owned the total bithead and never experienced any problems or questionable parts. my ec2a3 has function flawlessly from the day i got it. i have also spent considerable time with the ecss, lunch box, gs-1, and a few others, but have yet to experience the problems and out of the box issues like those rs audio products.

visually similar is exactly what i intended to convey. thanks for clearing that up. as we know all too well, ray has a proven track record of selling shit even if it has problems.

well the word on the street is ray has indicated he is bringing the predator down to the florida meet. i suspect there is more than a 70% chance he will kept his word. he's had about three months to copy Justin's layout and overall design implementation, but internal layout and looks is where the similarities end. ray is over his head, but his rs congregation in religious zealot fashion will probably continue that blind faith devotion and eat up whatever he preaches as gospel.

thanks.
