science backs calorie counting... i've also been sharing what i eat and my daily calorie intake with a close friend and one of my cousins, which has also been very helpful.

i started about two weeks ago, just counting calories and trying to keep it under 2,000 calories for the first few days and now under 1,700 per day. plus eating as close to the zone diet as possible because i had the best results with that before i got married -- lost like 30 pounds in a month before the wedding. i've already dropped about ten pounds and have been keeping a calorie journal, which really keeps me in check. it's amazing to think about how many calories i could easily consume on any given day, probably in the low 3,000, before i seriously started considering the calories.

just want to ensure a fair contest -- i think all participants should be cleared with an extensive drug test. caffeine and other energy supplements must be banned!

i wasn't being so serious with the photo opt comment more so to show how unusually good the build quality of your amp looks. heck, does anyone besides Mikhail know how your amp looked inside when Sleestack owned it?
-
i'll be there in spirit and impatiently await the impression.

the inners of Voltron's amp are a poor example, and definitely not the norm. in fact, i have never seen another SP amp look as pretty as his and i've seen my fair share. it looks more like that amp was custom made for a photo opt more than anything else, though, i am cynical. i don't know enough about this stuff, but messy wires don't bug me as long as everything else is well thought out, designed, implemented and professionally soldered together. Of course, it has to be stable and sound good too, yet even stability issues are called into question far too often. i suppose the most important thing is if the buyer is happy. some might say ignorance is bliss, but i would be one that would like to know before i start the SP dance what to expect so i can make an informed decision. and if i am willing to spend serious bank at least give other contenders a good listen without thinking, if it cost more it has to be better because far too many people think that way. i think a big reason why Mikhail will survive this debacle is he is probably the nicest person to deal with and when people lash out online, they just can't take the BS and lies any longer. if Mikhail would just shoot straight, he'd have fewer customers, but ones with more reasonable expectations of his abilities and build timeframe. this certainly would lessen headaches and angst not only against him, but for him as well. in spite of all this harping, it seems like business will continue as usual in good ole Colorado because i have yet to see any serious indication otherwise, unfortunately.

if you remove it, let me know how easy or difficulty it is to remove the film and sticky residue.

got the marware sport grip silicone case in black for my 3G iPhone. it fits the phone perfectly, lets you have completely use of all buttons and whatnot as well as feeling secure and great in the hand, but it's a dust and lint magnet. i suspect i am going to return it within the 30 day trial period and try something else...

happy b-day! hope it was a good one with lots of cheer.

it's not about the day, it's about sending a message.

just a little update... first off thanks for all the input. over the weekend, i picked up a wd 750gb essential edition from bestbuy for $148 and change. it was on sale, plus i had a 12% off coupon. i should have done more homework because the transfer rate was mind numbingly slow. it took around 4 hours to back-up my macbook pro's 31gb in time machine. i had no clue how dead slow the essential edition usb only transfer rate was going to be, if i did, i wouldn't have bought it. today, i looked more into a possible NAS solution as that would have be ideal, but arrived at the conclusion that most likely the transfer rate would be slow. though, i still don't know how it compares to USB 2.0... after some more research, i thought it best to go with an external hard drive with an 800 firewire connection as that will provide the second fastest transfer rate available. so i keyed in on the lacie d2 quadra 500GB from amazon for $153. i should have it within the next couple of days. based on all the reviews it has a very good and reliable track record and speedy quick transfer.

he was using the Moth Hyper DAC, which you've heard. Anyone who hasn't, it is best described as having a similar sound like the 508.24, but with slightly better top end clarity and extension. the transformers are custom made to Craig's specs i believe -- sorry don't know the brand as i don't think it's a name brand either.
