1985... this stuff is wickedly good!

i didn't hear them as i don't really have a dedicated portable rig, but do own the 530s, though, i didn't bring any music on my iphone. expensive custom IEMs scare me since you can't resell them or get them refitted if your ear canal slightly changes and you lose that perfect seal. and based on all my research they have a somewhat short lifespan. further, this segment of the market has been seeing fast and big strides of improvement nearly every year for the last few years... i really wish i heard them -- next time.

i had a bad caffeine headache, so i walked to starbucks in the rain with this silly purple umbrella, which smelled like perfume, and got a double espresso. the weather has been pretty trippy all day, raining off and on with a bit of thunder now and again, not at all typical socal weahter. on the way back it stopped raining and the sun peeped thru and a funny little thought occurred to me about six head-casers have been to my local starbucks.

not a fan of that landmark either... if we are talking landmarks, i'd recommend -- Philippe's Philippe The Original Restaurant - Chinatown - Los Angeles, CA though, it ain't so close to the airport.

roscoe's is pretty good, but they are inconsistent. i'd suggest honey's kettle in culver city for their fried chicken and biscuits. it's closer and in a much better neighbor. are we going to have a designated driver? how far do we want to venture from the hotel? how many in our party? reasonable, somewhat pricey, or pricey? looking for a cool place to hang, good food, good beer or what? i am sorry about all the questions, but i'd like to locate a place that would suit our needs. unfortunately, as much as i'd like to recommend father's offices it isn't the ideal place unless i reserve a room and i have no idea what that would entail plus they aren't the easiest to deal with, get a hold of and i'd imagine it wouldn't be cheap.

the hotel has a makeshift starbucks with the regular fare, obviously room service, i believe at least one of the hotel's downstairs restaurants does the buffet breakfast thing, and their is a Denny's pretty close, likely within walking distance. their is really good ihop, but it's about two to three miles away.

no prob -- this is good info to know that the hotel offers this service as i know a few folks that are coming down in trucks with their stuff.

what's the ground clearance on that thing? i am going to the hotel this weekend and will check the posted signs in the underground parking structure. worse case scenario, you'll unload it at the hotel entrance then park it at an open street level lot. this is the closest one i know of and it's about half a mile from the hotel.
